Description

At Kronenhof Lodge offers basic self-catering accommodation and camping sites, and is situated on a nature reserve located approximately 160 km from Sesriem, in the Hardap region of Namibia.

Accommodation At Kronenhof Lodge consists of 5 self-catering units, 4 camping sites, 7 double rooms, and 4 family rooms. Each self-catering unit can accommodate 2 persons and features a private bathroom, as well as a kitchenette containing a fridge, an electric stove plate to cook on, and a built-in braai area, air condition. The private campsites are situated a distance away from the lodge. The campsites are large with interlocked platforms on level soil which has a roof to provide ample shade, en-suite ablution facilities that offer hot and cold running water, flush toilet, washing up area, electric point and braai area. The sites are large enough for three vehicles and up to six guests. The private campsites have their own communal swimming pool.

The double rooms comprise a 2 extra-length three-quarter beds, and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. Each unit has space to put an additional bed in. Other amenities include air-conditioning, a ceiling fan, a safe, a gas geyser, bar fridge, tea- and coffee- making facilities, and a patio to enjoy the beautiful views. The family units have 2 bedrooms, each with 2 extra-length three-quarter beds, air-conditioning, and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. Other amenities include a safe, a gas geyser, a bar fridge, and tea- and coffee- making facilities. Each unit has it's own private parking next to the unit.

The main complex houses the reception, activity centre, a general dealer, and a restaurant with a lapa area where guests can enjoy refreshments and meals or just relax.

Activities such as clay pigeon shooting, sundowner and scenic drives in open 4x4 vehicles, cycling and E-bikes can be booked at the activity desk. The reserve has a variety of antelope species and a few giraffes that can be spotted from the vehicle, or on foot for those who prefer a hike.
