Description

Dock Point 1 is a beautifully restored Edwardian semi-detached townhouse house, within close proximity to Ushaka Marine World and the Durban beachfront. These houses were used as an accommodation for captains of ships docked at Durban harbour in the old days. Small dogs / pets only are welcome, as long as they are house trained.

The house comprises 3 bedrooms suited to accommodate 6 guests and has portable fans in each room. Bedroom 1 features a king-size bed. Bedroom 2 features a double bed and bedroom 3 features a double bunk bed. All bedrooms are upstairs and lead out onto verandas. The main bedroom has a bathroom with bath, shower, basin and toilet en suite, while the second and third bedrooms share a bathroom with bath, double basin and toilet.

Downstairs there is a lounge with a split air-conditioning unit, dining room and fully equipped modern kitchen. The dining room opens out to a veranda and small garden with a plunge pool. The lounge has a TV with DStv bouquet for viewing. Wi-Fi access is also available on a pocket router. 3 GB is given free to the guest on arrival mainly used for general use. It is not uncapped over and above that, but you can have it topped up at your cost. The house is fully equipped. All linen, blankets and towels are provided. A gas braai is supplied. Two secured parking bays are available in the basement below the house. The house comes serviced during the rental, please get in contact when a cleaner is needed at an additional cost. Guests gain access to the unit via the front door or directly from the basement parking area.

The front of the house opens onto the waterfront canal system. The neighbourhood is very secure with cameras on every corner of the streets, which makes it very safe to stroll along the canals at any time of the day.

The unit is only 3.5 km from the harbour's MSC-port and only 3.4 km from the Durban Exhibition Center.
