Hippo Cottage is situated in Balule Parsons Nature Reserve, 40 km north of Hoedspruit. The area is best known for its hiking trails, game viewing, safaris, and iconic attractions which include Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre, and Hippo Jessica. Ideal for a family or couples' getaway.
The cosy cottage accommodates 4 guests and consists of 2 air-conditioned bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Both bedrooms are furnished with king-size beds and have their own en-suite bathrooms fitted with a shower, washbasin, and toilet, of which 1 has a bath.
The open-plan living area features a well-equipped kitchen equipped with a stove, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, and tea-making facilities, as well as cutlery and crockery. Leading from the kitchen is an 8-seater dining table perfect for meals.
The lounge is furnished with comfortable seating and a TV with DStv premium channels along with free Wi-Fi facilities. The large sliding doors open up to a private deck with breathtaking views of the surrounding area.
Outside, guests can enjoy the enclosed boma and braai area, and during summer, a private splash pool awaits guests offering a rejuvenating respite from the heat. Guests are provided with secure parking.
