Karoo Mountain River House is located 8km from Calitzdorp in the heart of the Little Karoo, carved out of the foothills of the Swartberge, next to the Gamka River.

The house has 3 bedrooms and can accommodate 7 guests. The main bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom that is fitted with a toilet, 2 washbasins, a shower, and a bath. In the second bedroom, a double loft bed is elevated atop a single bed, creating a compact yet functional sleeping arrangement. Additionally, a third bedroom provides a queen-size bed. These two rooms share a bathroom fitted with a shower, bath, basin, and toilet.

An open-plan kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, microwave, stove, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, and cutlery and crockery. The lounge has comfortable couches nestled near the fireplace and opens to an outdoor patio with unrivalled views of the foothills.

The property offers a range of amenities, such as a river pool, a braai area, secure parking, and Wi-Fi, ensuring a convenient and enjoyable stay for guests. Guests are also welcome to fish and swim in the clean river. The patio offers a splendid vantage point to observe the captivating wildlife in their natural habitat.

Calitzdorp is a small town that offers a lot for tourists and is famous for all the wineries and fruit. Day trips can take guests over the Rooiberg Pass to Van Wyksdorp or through the dramatic Swartberge and back.
