Klipkraal is a Karoo farm only 6 km from Sutherland on the R356 route to The Southern African Large Telescope. Feed your body and soul with peace and quiet among the Karoo's hills and plains. In the evening you can curl up outside with a blanket and enjoy the cosmic show in the sky. The secluded location without light pollution ensures a clear, spectacular starry sky that leaves you amazed.

Accommodation on the farm consists of two self-catering houses and a self-catering cottage. Satellite Wi-Fi is available.

Ideal for a large group or family, the spacious Eselfontein House can accommodate 14 people and comprises 6 bedrooms, 6 en suite bathrooms, a kitchen, a dining area with a sitting area on the lower floor and a TV room with a small kitchenette on the upper floor.

Comfortably furnished for 2 people, the Donkierus Cottage comprises 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, a kitchen, and a lounge. The bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom with a shower, a bath, and, a toilet.

Experience the beautiful flower growth in Spring time and Winter months are icy with mercury sometimes dropping to -15 degrees celsius and the town is flooded with snow seekers from across the country.

Privacy to the farm is ensured with electronic access control.

The Southern African Large Telescope is visible on the hill from all the houses on the farm. There are outdoor and indoor barbecue facilities at all the houses and guests can cool off in the cement farm pond.
