Lakehouse is a charming self-catering home located 14 km from Howick, boasting a wrap-around verandah with 180-degree views of Midmar Dam and the valley below. It is an ideal choice for couples or small families and can also be rented in conjunction with Hillhouse for larger groups.
Lakehouse features 2 bedrooms, each furnished with single beds that can be joined to create doubles. There is a bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet, and basin. High-quality 100% cotton bed linen and towels are provided.
Guests will find a fully equipped kitchen, braai facilities, and an open fireplace in the lounge, with wood provided. Adjacent to the host's home, there is an unfenced communal swimming pool that all guests are welcome to use.
Exploring the garden, visitors will encounter food gardens, beehives and oak forests where Porcini mushrooms can be discovered in Autumn. Botanical enthusiasts will be captivated by the succulent garden located on the terraces below Hillhouse, as well as the hothouse collection featuring intriguing and uncommon plants. As guests stroll down the driveway, they are encouraged to pick fruit from the peach, plum, and citrus trees in the orchard nestled between the houses.
