Description
Modderfort is in the Eastern Free State in Rosendal and offers comfortable overnight accommodation from a quiet getaway for a few days.
The cottage is ideal for a couple, 2 single travellers or a small family of 4, and comprises 2 cosy bedrooms that share the use of a bathroom. Each room is furnished with an old school boiler, double bed, electric blankets, panel heaters and the bathroom is fitted with a slipper bath, a toilet and a washbasin. An old water tank in the garden has been converted into an outdoor shower with warm water for guests to use.
The kitchen is equipped with an electric stove, an oven, microwave, a fridge, coffee- and tea-making facilities, a Nespresso machine, crockery and cutlery. The living area has a Bluetooth-speaker and is furnished with a few interesting and eclectic pieces of furniture and artworks, as well as an old-fashioned, wood-burning stove for cold evenings.
The living area opens onto a large, cosy patio with double doors. There is a nice chill area on the veranda with 2 day beds and colourful blankets and pillows for evenings on the veranda. There are lovely braai facilities and a garden for guests' to enjoy. The garden is also fenced off, and dogs are welcome by prior arrangement.
