The word Sawadee means “I greet you” or “ek groet jou” in Afrikaans, and in the years gone by Colesberg became a place of halfway rest where we meet people, provide a place for a rest and send them off on their journey. People come from Cape Town and Johannesburg and find the Colesberg area as the ideal halfway point in their travel plans.
