Description
The Crooked Nest is a simple-living homestead, nestled between the mountains in the heart of the Tipperary Nature Conservancy, situated 20 km from Mbombela (Nelspruit).
The accommodation offers rustic relaxation and tranquillity in a wooden flatlet furnished with a king-size bed and a reading area in the main room. The bathroom is fitted with a shower, toilet, and double basin. Surrounded by the sounds of baboons and birds, guests can enjoy a braai at the pool area by arrangement. The lounge is also furnished with a bunk bed.
We have 2 big family dogs on the property. Zena loves children and Luna is very protective of our guests. Midnight is a nosy cat that will greet guests.
The property is fully fenced with safe undercover parking. The accommodation is ideal for family getaways with mostly only the sounds of animals being heard. We have also upgraded the flatlet with an inverter, so loadshedding will not be a problem. For teens and adults, we do have board games available to have game nights.
Attractions in the surrounding area include the Malelane Gate entrance to Kruger National Park which is located 55 km away, as well as the Lowveld National Botanical Garden, Chimp Eden Animal Sanctuary, Kaapschehoop, and Mafunyane Waterpark.
