The Riverstone House offers a self-catering country getaway in a peaceful setting just outside Wolseley. The accommodation is ideal for those looking for a country family weekend on a working farm, a special bridal party preparation space, or a honeymoon delight. The farm is ideally located to explore award-winning wine estates, as it is situated between the Breedekloof, Slanghoek, Wolseley and Tulbagh wine routes.
Accommodation on offer comprises an exclusive Riverstone House, a FamTin and a CouplesPod. The House can accommodate up to 8 adults with 2 small children, and comprises 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a large open-plan entertainment, lounge and kitchen space. Covered patios on both the east and west sides of the house afford endless views for sunrise or sunset, with the only sounds being that of the Bree River and the birds.
The FamTin is a trendy container conversion where 2 shipping containers have been converted to a modern, 4-sleeper unit, positioned exclusively on the edge of the farm dam. This unit is pet-friendly and offers free Wi-Fi. The FamTin comprises 2 en-suite rooms in each wing of the conversion, inside and outside dining space, and a covered patio with built-in braai facilities.
The CouplesPod is situated in a nook on the farm dam. This unit is a double container conversion with an undercover patio with built-in braai facilities and a wood-burning stove inside. The CouplesPod comprises a queen-size bed, an en-suite bathroom, a lounge and dining area, and a kitchen.
To cool down when it gets too warm, take a dip in the Bree River. The river does not flow actively into the peak summer season, unfortunately, due to the drought.
All units are pet friendly, though Riverstone House is the only unit that is fenced.
The Riverstone House is 26 km from Tulbagh, 16 km from Ceres and 9 km outside Wolseley, making it ideally situated for outdoor activities in the Witzenberg Valley. Meander along the farm roads, visit the pet ram and horse in the neighbouring field or take a drive to award-winning wineries in the valley.
