Description
Waterval Guesthouse is located on a farm just outside of the town of Machadodorp, and offers guests a choice of staying in one of the self-catering units; Klipkraal or Park Home or one of the rooms in the main house.
Klipkraal is a 2-bedroomed unit that can sleep, 5 people. The en-suite rooms that are furnished with either double or single beds and a single bed are also available in the living room. The kitchenette has a stove and oven, a fridge and a microwave. The Park Home unit offers affordable accommodation for a family of 4 and consists of 2 rooms. One of the rooms is furnished with a double bed and the second is just big enough for a bunk bed or a single bed. The open-plan kitchen is equipped with a microwave, a stove, as well as a fridge.
Guests can also stay in one of the 3 self-catering rooms that are all located in the main house. The En-suite Bedroom has a private entrance and is furnished with single beds. This room also has a private bathroom with a bath. The Family Room is furnished with single beds or bunk beds and share the use of a bathroom with a shower with the Middle Room. The Middle Room is furnished with single beds for 3 people. All 3 rooms have access to a communal kitchen with a stove, an oven, a fridge, as well as a microwave. Guests are also welcome to use the dining area and the lounge with its fireplace, and meals are available on request.
Private braai facilities and laundry facilities are available to all guests to use. The guest house has a lovely verandah where guests can sit and enjoy the lovely views of the farm. The rolling lawns of the farm will lead guests to the river, and various swimming holes can be located in the hills. Guests can also enjoy activities such as hiking and biking, and picnic baskets can be provided on request. Trout fishing and horse riding can also be arranged. Various animals such as horses, cows, geese and chickens can also be seen on the farm.
Waterval Guesthouse also has a campsite and a training centre, but it is separate from the main house and self-catering units, to ensure guests their privacy.
