Johane Van Eeden

Johané loves nature and her family and believe there is nothing better then spending her weekend around the swimming pool and the braai with family and friends. She loves people and recogise the individual needs in everybody. She would love to see the world, but her heart will always be in South-Africa.

Jurgens Liebenberg

From a small town up north, one of the hottest places you can find on the map. Jurgens loves gaming and has a fun sense of humour. He likes working with people and is always glad to be in a team - especially the booking team!

Anges Kastoor

Anges was born in Vredenburg, grew up and matriculated in Malmesbury. After school, he furthered his education and studied human resources, sound engineering, production, presenting, sales and marketing. He worked in the radio industry for 10 years as a presenter and production engineer for Radio West Coast as well as Sunshine Radio. During his free time, he is a DJ, MC and organises events for the local community in the West Coast. His passion is mostly music and helping others where he can.

Bradley Swail

Bradley is an outgoing person who loves to make people smile! He is always dressed well and you will rarely see him in a bad mood. Bradley is hardworking and has a passion for customer service.

Dominique Ferreira

Dominique is originally from the Cape. She is a loving person who lives for her family. She is undoubtedly a people person and is always willing to walk the extra mile for anyone. She believes in this saying, 'Live as if there is no tomorrow, so live your life to the fullest.'

Lisa-Maria Botes

Lisa is a nature lover and she loves to get the adrenaline going. She enjoys having fun on weekends with her family and friends. Tourism has always been her passion and she would really like to tour her own country. She is a very friendly and loving person and she will always walk the extra mile to help people.

Nicole Conradie

Nicole was born in Cape Town. She stayed in Moorreesburg, Johannesburg and Vredendal but Cape Town remains her favourite. She loves working with people, loves the beach, enjoys good movies and music, as well as spending time with family and friends. She enjoys a challenge and is a bit of a perfectionist!

Tanya Harris

Tanya has travelled quite a bit, but her heart belongs in SA – preferably on a beach, with her baby and husband soaking up the sunshine by her side.

Thandeka Qangule

An avid reader and an aspiring blogger! Thandeka is very passionate about people and loves to laugh.

Angel Hoffman

Angel Hoffman grew up in the northern suburbs, but went to live in Stellenbosch directly after matric. There she obtained her BA (Language and Culture) degree, as well as a BA (Hons) in Translation Studies at Stellenbosch University. She loves doing research and has a passion for lexicography as a subject – according to her, dictionaries are considered the second most important book after the Bible. She has a variety of hobbies. In the summer, she likes to surf and do all kinds of hiking trails. She also loves the Afrikaans entertainment industry and has been a 7de Laan fan from an early age.

Deane is a friendly, good-hearted and hard-working person who enjoys reading, hiking and eating good food. Her philosophy is, “you live and you learn”.

Johann Huysamen

Johann is a positive and energetic person. Even though he takes his work seriously, he has a good sense of humour and loves a ‘dad joke’. He always has a smile on his face and is eager to meet and build relationships with people. His goals are to promote the company and deliver excellent customer service. Johann is an outdoor fanatic and if he gets an opportunity to be on the golf course, he will take it. He is always up for a hike, especially Lion’s Head and loves the beautiful nature, especially in and around Cape Town. On a Sunday, Johann is actively involved at his local church and even serves as a barista. Every cup of coffee is served with love and a big smile!

Morné Van Heerden

Morne was born and raised in Fochville and he prefers to live in the moment - that's what's important because today's all that matters. His family and his pets are his first priority and he loves to help out at South African Boston Terrier Rescue. Callisthenics is his passion and he can not go one day without it.

Nerine Kruger

Nerine grew up in Amanzimtoti, but has been living in Cape Town for a decade. She is a vivacious people's person that will go out of her way to help anyone and make them feel loved. Her one year old boy is the apple of her eye life and she adores her family, friends, and pets.

Tyron Rossouw

Tyron is a guy who likes to have fun. He's often on a mini adventure making the most of his surroundings. He enjoys going out and experiencing new things and is also fond of nature. He loves listening to music but always amps up the bass on them as that's the best part.

Abigail Carelse

Who is Abby? She's a backpacker at heart because she goes where life leads her and she does not let anything stop her. She has a taste here and there, but she's irreplaceable in the kitchen. Cooking up a storm is her favourite past time. She loves the outdoors, especially camping, hiking and outdoor sports. Abby always wanted to be part of an action cricket team, but it doesn’t seem like they are ready for her. Abby likes to meet new people and learning about various cultures.

Andrea Cloete

Andrea is ’n gebore Kapenaar. Sy hou daarvan om Netflix te kyk en tyd saam met haar familie deur te bring. Sy is mal oor die natuur en plaaswêreld, en baie vriendelik — sy vertel graag ’n grappie hier en ’n grappie daar.

Anri Roux

Anri has a sparkling and infectious personality and is definitely someone you want around you on a bad day, because she'll definitely put a smile on your face. She has a passion for people and gives her best in her work. She loves to spoil people and make them feel special ─ definitely a quality one can not resist. She also loves animals and cheese.

Celestine Saal

Celestine is originally from the small town of O'Kiep in the Northern Cape, but her heart is in the beautiful Cape. She loves nature, animals – especially dogs and horses – and travelling. She is always looking for a new travel adventure and lives by the saying ‘collect memories, not things’.

Charne De Jongh

Charné loves the countryside, camping and animals. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, and she's known to be quite the petrol head and go-getter.

Cherine Swanepoel

Cherine is originally from a little town called Volksrust and crazy about Cape Town. She has a passion for nature, loves animals, and likes camping, fishing and biking. Cherine is a friendly girl who likes listening and lending a hand.

Claudine April

Claudine was born and bred in the West Coast, first St. Helena Bay and later Vredenburg. She spends most of her time with her son, Caellum. She loves the outdoors, except where snakes and spiders are involved. Claudine is very goal-driven and optimistic, hoping to achieve at least five goals in the next 24 months!

Daria Williams

Daria is originally from the City of Gold: Johannesburg, Hillbrow, but is a Capetonian at heart! She loves meeting new people and taking on new challenges. Daria enjoys visiting wine farms, braaiing and hanging out with friends. She also enjoys a good book from time to time, but at the moment Netflix is getting all her attention.

Elvona Tamana

Elvona originally comes from Bethelsdorp in Port Elizabeth, but has been living in Cape Town for 16 years. She comes from a family of 5, and is blessed to have both her parents, an elder sister and younger brother. She is a mother to 4 year old boy and fiance to a gentleman named Moses. You’ll always find her with a smile on her face. She absolutely loves travelling, but hasn't gotten the chance to do a lot of that lately. However, she has been dancing a lot.

Ingrid Hassim

Ingrid enjoys travelling. The view of Table Mountain from an airplane window, the ocean during the day and the shimmering lights of the Mother City make her heart skip a beat. She has a great passion for her children, a good book, cooking, good coffee and chocolate. Ingrid always strives for excellence and to make everything that crosses her path better than she found it. Her motto is: “Plant the good, and beauty will flourish”

Janeatha Green

Janeatha is originally from the Cape and loves to enjoy the outdoors. In her spare time, she enjoys reading books and spending time with her family and friends. She has a great love for animals and is a people person. She firmly believes in the saying: Just live step by step and take the chance.

Jasmeen Maans

Jasmeen is a happy soul. She was born in Beaufort West and recently moved to Cape Town with her boyfriend. She loves spending time with family and friends. She lives by the motto 'What you put in is what you get out'. In her free time, she loves travelling and reading books to expand her knowledge.

Jo-Ann Du Toit

Jo-ann enjoys moonlight strolls on the beach, participation dances and red roses by the arm full ─ just kidding! She is not a fan of any of those things, except for the dances. More seriously, she loves the outdoors and going on different adventures. Her motto in life is, ''Don't downgrade your dreams to match your reality, upgrade your faith to match your destiny''.

Kaylene love spending quality time with family and friends, taking walks on the beach and camping. "Live as if you were to die tomorrow, learn as if you were to live forever," — Gandhi.

Kyla Serrotti

Kyla was born in Cape Town. She loves working with people and she enjoys traveling to different places. Kyla is a friendly soul and she always believes that you can make someone's day a little better by helping them or even just a smile. The most important thing to Kyla is family and friends.

Lance Gordon

Lance is a born and bred Capetonian who's spent a large portion of his life travelling the world participating in semi-professional sports. He loves devoting his time to the upliftment of the youth and cooking in the kitchen.

Latoya Plaatjies

Latoya was born and raised in Cape Town. She enjoys singing, dancing and movies. She loves the outdoors and spending time with her family and daughter. She is also a big rugby fan and also played a bit. She lives by the saying, "If life gives you lemons, make lemonade”.

Lauren Allies

Lauren is a social butterfly with a bubbly personality and making people laugh is easiest for her. She loves to cook and enjoy a glass of wine and this is how she relaxes. She is also very passionate about her family.

Lee-Anne De Beer

Lee-Anne is passionate about exploring South Africa, socializing with friends and family, and long walks on the beach. She often picnics in the Company Gardens with her son, where they feed the squirrels and birds.

Liesl Terblanche

Liesl is originally from Centurion, but found her home in Cape Town in March 2018. She enjoys her life in Cape Town with her husband, Rudi, and her cat, Pixel. She enjoys photographing nature and spending time reading a good book. She dreams of one day visiting Russia and New York.

Liyabona Nkula

Liya is a mixture of sugar, spice and everything nice. She believes life is too short to let a bad moment result in a bad day. Being a mom to her daughter is her favourite job, and being Dr Phil to her friends and family comes a close second. One thing about her, she will always be fabulous and extra –- it keeps life interesting and fun!

Lize-Mari Van Zyl

Lize-Marié was born in the Freestate, Riebeeckstad, Welkom, stayed in Hartenbos for a while and has lived in Cape Town since 2009. She enjoys cooking and baking, and loves to spoil people, especially her loved ones.

Marianka Grebe

Marianka is originally from Malmesbury but grew up in Cape Town. She is a loving, caring and down-to-earth person who loves spending her free time with her family and friends. She likes a glass of wine every now and then and loves to cook just for fun.

Marizaan Claassen

Marizaan enjoys sunsets, long walks on the beach, clichés and sarcasm. She is often found near music, poetry and wine. Her puns are also always intended. Jokes aside, she enjoys winter, singing alone in the car and eating peanut butter from the jar.

Mary Ann Phiri

Mary is a Capetonian through and through. She really enjoys travelling, jogging, cycling, reading and spending time with family and friends. In her free time she really enjoys giving back to the community by getting involved in volunteering programs.There is nothing more beautiful than being able put a smile on someone's face.

Meagan Meyer

Meagan is a quiet, yet very outspoken person who gets along easily with people. She likes her own company and that of her family and friends. Usually, after a long week, she likes to relax in nature with her adventurous son, binge-watch her favorite TV programs, or explore new places such as restaurants, playgrounds and hiking trails.

Naeema Philander

Naeema loves travelling and when the sun is out you won’t find her at home. She’s an outdoor ladybug and enjoys spending time with her family and putting a smile on other people’s faces.

Natrisha Damons

Natrisha is a social butterfly, but does not like flying insects. She has a bubbly personality and she is a very supportive friend. She reads and writes in her free time and also has a diploma in Journalism. She loves spending time with friends and family, and is very determined and a great team player.

Nicole is an adventurous soul with a kind heart. She enjoys riding adventure motorcycles and spending her time outdoors. Nicole has been a fighter since birth, and she's always up for a challenge. She enjoys spending time with her family and adores her cats and dogs at home.

Nikita is originally from Port Elizabeth, but is a West Coast girl at heart. She is a very social person who is always hungry. In her spare time, she enjoys camping and 4x4, and she is always willing to try new things and thinks "fear is only a state of mind."

Nolitha Zongolo

Nolita was born and bred in Stellenbosch and is a lover of the finer things in life. She is a mother to one of the most energetic toddlers. She binge watches popular series in her free time, she loves to read and also loves spending time with her daughter and family. She is currently doing her first year at UNISA and studying for a BA in Creative Writing. She sees herself as a resilient young woman who believes that she can have and do anything that she puts her mind to.

Roxzanne Bennett

Roxzanne was born in Cape Town and loves this place. Family is important to her and she is always there for them. She likes having her ‘alone time’ because it always does her good. There is nothing better than a walk on the beach to make one feel better after a long day. She’s always ready for a challenge. Roxzanne believes everything happens for a reason and lives life accordingly, ‘life is a marathon, take it easy’.

Ruan Paxton

Born in Karl Bremer at 12 seconds after 12:00 on January 1, 2000, Ruan is known as the millennial baby of the year 2000. Ruan is a very friendly and helpful young man. He strives to provide his best service and likes to work with people. In his spare time he likes to find himself in nature by visiting green hiking trails and golden beaches.

Ruchell Herbert

Ruchell was born and raised in the Northern Cape but Cape Town is where she loves staying with her family. She loves spending time with her three daughters and taking her dog for a walk.

Ryan Mostert

Ryan has just come from the hustle and bustle of Johannesburg and is still finding his feet here in the tranquillity of Cape Town. He is a quiet soul with a big heart who is always willing to go the extra mile for everyone around him. Ryan considers himself a geek who enjoys playing games or watching Japanese stories in his spare time. He strives for perfection in his work and life, and wants to make a success of anything he comes into contact with.

Shadé Snyders

Shadé was in born in St Helena Bay on the West Coast and slowly but surely found her way to Cape Town. She is an outdoor ladybug and enjoys a glass of wine with friends. She is very friendly and believes that one should always make the best of every moment.

Sivuyisiwe Mpoli

Sivu was born in Paarl. For the last seven years, she has worked as a customer services consultant. She has a strong personality and is a very caring person. She spends most of her time reading and trying new things.

Siyamthanda Ngoma

Siyamthanda is an experienced client services consultant with over 10 years in customer environments. She is a fun-loving individual with a passion to help others. She considers herself to be versatile and seasoned, a socialite at heart with a strong love for fashion and the outdoors.

Siyanda Ngcwayi

Siyanda is friendly, social and vibey. She enjoys spending time with her family. She is easy to get along with and is a sucker for braais and chillas especially if it involves meat.

Sune Smit

Suné was born in Musina and slowly but surely found her way to the Cape. She is very happy so close to the ocean with her friends and family, but a part of her misses the bushveld, giraffes and the sounds of the night. She is very friendly and has a passion for people.

Taahiera is someone who always wants to see everyone happy around her and make people smile.

Tanya Potgieter

Tanya loves the outdoors, hiking, camping, motorbiking and braaing. She enjoys working with people, learning about cultures and exploring new places. Tanya's passion is travelling locally and enjoying good food.

Taro Louw

Taro is originally from Port Nolloth in Namakwaland and loves Cape Town. She has a wanderlust and in her free time, she travels and explores new things and places.

Tazlyn Christans

Tazlyn loves nature and believes that a walk on the beach is the best thing ever! She also loves a nice road trip, especially with her family.

Theunis Nortje

Theunis, or T.C., was born in Caledon, but grew up in Cape Town. After school he moved to Bloemfontein and moved back to Cape Town after completing his studies. He likes sport and traveling in South Africa.

Tihan Mostert

Tihan grew up in Durbanville. He likes hiking, camping and a good burger. In his free time, Tihan loves to spend time with friends, sightseeing and working out. His favourite quote is, ''The simple joy of observing with compassion, reveals much about ourselves, and the world''.

Timothy Terblanche

Timothy is originally from Pretoria but grew up on the Cape Peninsula. He loves nature and animals. His idea of the perfect weekend is pitching a tent with his friends next to the ocean or a river. He tries to stay active by surfing and playing some rugby.

Tyrone Swartz

Tyrone has a passion for rugby and likes the Springboks. He tackles his problems head-on. He is also a very friendly person who likes to help people and will always go the extra mile for his guests.

Kristin loves art, especially the art of photography as it allows her to create beautiful pictures and express her views of life. She also enjoys spending time outdoors and meeting new people. Bianca Schuster

Bianca has a big personality and a soft heart. Bianca will pick you up when you are feeling down. She is the kind of friend you will call for a shoulder to cry on. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her family, and trips to the beach and nature walks are things she does often. She also enjoys painting and has recently taken a keen interest in rock painting. Bianca absolutely loves camping, the peace and quiet does wonders to the soul.

Chelsea Oliver

Chelsea is a wonderful person who loves to help others. She's an animal-lover. She is very creative and writes poetry and music. She loves nature so she really enjoys walks with her dog, Josh. She is an open-minded person with a soft heart, very empathetic and sensitive but confident.

Cheryl Thomas

Cheryl-Anne is a young, fun-loving and good-hearted person, who runs away from a fly, even though she appears to be a rock! She is a perfectionist who wants to overachieve in everything she does. She has a hidden talent and passion for singing — a true jack of all trades who is great at anything she is passionate about. Her biggest joys in life are spending time with her spouse, cat, close family and friends, and she is also big on travel and foodie adventures and loves a great getaway in nature!

Daniël Schönfeldt

Daniël is from the North West, but has been in the Cape for more than 10 years. He is a nature lover and loves camping and 4x4 with his wife and children. You will also often find him next to the braai fire, telling ‘dad jokes’. In his spare time he enjoys doing steel and wood work. He has a passion for customer service and he enjoys his job a lot.

Dianke Endrich

Dianke is originally from Vredenburg, but lived in Gansbaai for some time. She enjoys drawing, is always looking for a new adventure and loves the outdoors, computer games, reading and cycling. She enjoys a braai and spending time with her family and as well as playing pranks!

Junior Kitching

Junior is a fireball with lots of energy. He always goes the extra mile with a big smile. He loves making conversation and making others happy. He is from a small town on the West Coast and is down to earth and easy to get along with.

Kimberley Hendricks

Kimberley grew up in Malmesbury in the beautiful Swartland District. She is obsessed with her pets, Milo, a Maltese Poodle, and Coco, her Calico kitty. She likes reading in her spare time, thoroughly enjoys travelling and is self-proclaimed foodie at heart.

Lance Albertyn

Lance is an outgoing individual with a huge focus on self-improvement. His hobbies include fitness, sport, DJ-ing and supporting Liverpool Football Club. His most important priority is his amazing family, the ladies in his life ─ his two daughters and his beautiful wife, who inspire him daily.

Leah is passionate about building meaningful connections and relationships with people. She is purpose driven and values are important to her. She lives a faith centered life and this is what keeps her going. She's a self taught baker and Music Performance graduate.

Monica is a passionate and positive person that always strives to be greater today than she was yesterday. She loves the outdoors as well as indoors, especially when it comes to shopping malls. She enjoys being in the company of friends and family as much as possible. After living in London for two years she finally realised that there is no place like home right here in South Africa.

At 28, she is the meeting point of all opposites. She is a crazy creative and a weirdo of the highest caliber ─ a true chameleon.

Nusrat, originally from Paarl, loves to read and write, listen to music, art, and being outdoors. She enjoys a good laugh, good food, as well as cooking and baking. She loves spending time with those closest to her, enjoys a good movie and adores animals.

Rhona-Leigh Fredericks

Rhona-Leigh was born and bred in the pearl of the Cape Winelands, Paarl. She loves spending time with her little one, close family and friends and likes to explore new places. She thoroughly enjoys travelling, and absolutely adores nature walks and long strolls on the beach, and is obsessed with sunsets because she believes that it does not matter how bad the day can get, there's always beauty at the end of the day.

Sunelle Olivier

Sunelle is originally from Velddrif and she has a hospitality background working at BON Hotels and, more recently, Village n Life trading at the Farmhouse Hotel. Working with people is her passion. She enjoys spending time with family and friends or summer days on the beach. She is definitely a “glass-half-full-person”.

Zuhancke Louw

Zuhancke is a fun, down to earth and kind-hearted individual. She graduated from Stellenbosch University in 2022 where she studied BSc Microbiology and Biotechnology. Zuhancke enjoys a good joke, braai with friends. She loves to travel and explore new places. She firmly believes that it’s always a good day to have a good day and to be grateful for everything you have in life.

Frans Joubert

Entrepreneur at heart, beancounter by day, musician at night ─ Frans has a passion for high-growth tech companies and helping them scale. He also enjoys travelling, birding, a good glass of Stellenbosch red wine and spending quality time with his wife, family and friends.

Chrystal is originally from Robertson ─ the wine valley. She studied at the North West University in Potchefstroom which added to her Afrikaans culture. She loves all things flowers and enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Chantell Vaughan

Chantell is passionate about the travel industry and her job. She enjoys travelling, exploring new places, reading and cooking (when she has time)!

Janine Swart

Janine has an appetite for adventure, but also enjoys a good read or some delicious seafood. When she's not walking her dog "Teddy", she socializes by the pool or braai.

Tina Sardo

Tina is in the accounts department and loves anything to do with figures or maths. Her free time is spent with family and friends and loves being in the great outdoors.

Charné Opperman

Charne is originally from Pretoria but is now settled in Paarl. She studied Industrial Psychology at Stellenbosch University, where her passion for the relationship between people and business developed. She loves camping, spending time in the bush and doing adventures on weekends.

Marosane Hutchinson

Marosane is a mom of 2 beautiful, busy boys. She loves the simple things in life, like spending time with her family, a glass of good wine, good food made simply, a well brewed cup of coffee and anything that contains cinnamon. She has a real passion for travel and aviation.

Ludwig Endrich

Ludwig was born in Namibia, but he hails from Velddrif. He loves spending time outdoors! Ludwig is an avid cricket and rugby supporter, he enjoys playing golf and he is a real people’s person. He enjoys having a braai or fun evening with good friends. Ludwig is very friendly and down-to-earth and he will always go the extra mile to help people or be a shoulder to cry on. His motto in life is “Hakuna Matata” and to live life to the fullest every day.

Princess Balasana

Princess plays an important role in the TravelGround and LekkeSlaap Team. She is responsible for keeping the office clean and tidy. She has a keen interest in every staff member and often joins in the conversation with her colleagues over lunchtime. She always has a smile on her face and nothing is ever too much for her to handle.

Vivian Wessel

Vivian is originally from Alice in the Eastern Cape, but has been living in Cape Town for the last 8 years. She has two girls (8 and 22). She loves a traditional South African braai, singing, and spending time at her church.

Yoliswa Takatshanana

Yoliswa is a valued member of the TravelGround and LekkeSlaap team. Being a mother herself, she’s quite at home looking after our staff of over 50; and is as quick to laugh and join in on stories of weekend fun, as she is to scold a team member for interfering with her office work.

Gerriline Fouché

Gerriline is originally from Vredendal on the border of the Namaqualand, but is now settled in the suburbs of Bloubergstrand. She studied BA Law at Stellenbosch University, where the Afrikaans & Dutch Department fed her passion for the Afrikaans language, literature and culture. After finishing an honours degree in Afrikaans & Dutch in 2017, Gerriline bid adieu to her student life in the Cape Winelands and now enjoys her life in the Mother City.

Daniëlle Terblanche

Daniëlle is a Cape Town girl who likes laughing, drinking coffee and taking pictures of pretty things. Anything in nature is an adventure for her, especially the beach and mountains. She enjoys exploring new places and sharing them with people. Travelling is food to her soul and she will spend her last cents on it. Danielle feels life is too short to drink bad coffee and red wine and that is why she's constantly searching for places where she can drink good coffee and red wine. She loves Afrikaans and can spend her days reading a book.

Nanje Lourens

Nanje is from Somerset West and completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Translation at Stellenbosch University. She has a passion for language, especially Afrikaans, and is currently trying to teach herself German and Portuguese. Since high school, Bea’s passion for creative writing started to bloom and after she completed her Honours Degree in Journalism at the University of Stellenbosch, her love for languages, photography and good coffee just kept growing. She has to pet every dog ​​she sees and dreams about having a sunny house by the sea.

Leroy grew up in Eerste River but has spent the last seven years in Stellenbosch. He studied politics and literature at the University of Stellenbosch, after which he completed his Honours in Afrikaans and Dutch. He likes to read and write and has an inexplicable obsession with making sense out of the senseless.

Liezl Strauss

She's always been obsessed with letters and words. It's no surprise that she pursued a degree in language and literature. As much as she enjoys books, she'll grab any opportunity to be outside in the sun and go for a hike. In a previous life, she must've been a mermaid because she cannot resist water. Wine has its own special place on her food pyramid. She's passionate about people, plants and loves to explore new places.

Lungile Mazibuko

Lungile was born and bred in Soweto, in the township of Mofolo, Emdeni, and Zola. She holds a film and television production certificate. She is very passionate about the media industry, and in her spare time, you will find her reading about different behind-the-scenes careers in the media space. One thing she can't seem to let go of is her love for history — whether it is South African history or overseas history, she will tell you all about it. She has recently discovered that she loves a good cup of tea, from chai tea and lemon tea to blue tea, so if you enjoy discovering all sorts of tea, hit her up, and she'll gladly join you.

Marishan Veldsman

Marishan is from Robertson and completed her Masters in Afrikaans and Dutch at Stellenbosch University. She is a cat lover and spends most of her time with her family. Camping and travelling are food for her soul, and she likes to learn new things and paint every now and then.

Mika Stanvliet

Mika is a creative and spontaneous individual. She finds pleasure in simple things such as words, cats, books and tea and it is difficult for her to turn down a glass of good red wine. Independent and hardworking, she enjoys singing loudly albeit off-key, gardening and board games. She is also an avid collector of any light blue kitchenware which matches her hand-painted fridge and retro toaster.

Natasha labuschagne

Natasha is from the small town of Bela-Bela, all the way from Limpopo. She studied BA Languages at the University of Pretoria, after which she completed her honours degree in Afrikaans with a focus on linguistics. Natasha finds language fascinating. She speaks Afrikaans, English, Dutch and Spanish, but she hopes to learn more languages. She loves the outdoors, history, dogs and good coffee. She enjoys being creative and embodies this through creative writing. She wishes to one day travel the world and experience all the cultures it has to offer.

Kelsey was born in Cape Town and lived in both Cape Town and Johannesburg growing up. She loves animals (literally ALL of them) and wouldn’t miss an opportunity to take her dogs for a walk in the sunshine. Any day with friends and family is a day well spent. An engineer by studies, Kelsey decided she needed a new challenge and opted for the developer’s life (and loving it so far!).

She is deeply passionate about designing and building applications that are focused on optimising the user experience. In her free time, you’ll find her watering her houseplants, building Spotify playlists and spending time with her friends and family. While building her technical craft, she hopes to one day lead a team and design a product of her own that enriches peoples’ lives.

Martin Smit

Martin was born in Centurion but spent most of his schooldays in Durbanville. After studying Socio Informatics at the University of Stellenbosch he joined the Joburg e-commerce scene. This is where he discovered the rush of getting online customers to click “add to cart” by streamlining the user experience. After 3 years in the fast lane he is happy to be back in beautiful Cape Town where “tomorrow” is defined as “another day”. He and his girlfriend are the proud owners of Phantom (a black cat) and Lilly (a Yorkie). Among his favourite pastimes are competitive gaming, wine tasting, and good times next to the braai with his friends.
