"Definitely will visit them again, because there are so many places to try out there for the food. We will defnitely go back to The Highlander, we had lunch with pizza's and chips, then dinner was crispy Eisbein and Artist's Cafe had breakfast with roosterkoek and savoury mince and toasted chicken mayo with filter coffee, and at Post House Restuarant we had chicken peri-peri livers and dagwood and chips. The Silo Padstal also has nice things and we bought potatoes and apples to take home. Definitely will visit in future again. Lovely place."

"Clarens is uniek en baie rustig met 'n pragtige ligging so teen die voet van die berg. Die verskeidenheid van winkeltjies met allerhande interessante items maak Clarens baie spesiaal en uniek. Die restaurante se kos is uit die boeke, regtig smaaklik en met styl aangebied en die pryse is goed vergelykend met enige ander plek in die land. Daar is ook voetslaanpaaie as jy sou wou. Perderitte om die plein is ook iets wat jy nie sommer enige plek in die land kry nie."

"Clarens is a world far different from what I'm used to. People were warm and welcoming. It is a place where strangers become fast friends. I could walk around town with my handbag over my shoulder without any fear for my safety. The atmosphere was warm, busy and musical. You are sorry to go when the time comes."

"Sadly, one can quickly see and sense that the town of Deneysville is not what it once was, but unfortunately the same has to be said for many, if not most small towns across the country, and I have to add that we weren't there long enough to have a well informed opinion, I would have liked to stay another day to explore more."
