We did not enjoy our stay at 16 Oceans Edge at all. First of all upon our arrival we found the fridge not working at all; we were promised by the agent that this would be repaired by the next morning. The whole next morning there was no one to repair these. By noon we were told the technician was on his way in and already inside Zimbali. By 4 o'clock there was still no person to attend to it. This was terribly frustrating because as a family of 7 we had to eat out constantly as the fridge was out of order. Food brought from JHB went down. The technician only arrived in the evening to do a temporary repair. While we waited for the fridge to cool we had to go out to eat again, on our return we found another technician inside the house without our permission. The washing machine also gave problems, it did not want to rinse water at all. We also noticed on our arrival that some of the bedding and towels were full of black marks. We used the tumble dryer and it made exactly the same marks on our clothes and towels as it did on the bedding. The kitchen has a mix of cutlery and crockery, no full sets. Nothing fits together. The pots were found burnt and black. There are not enough placemats for 7 people, although the house can sleep "eight". The oven didn't work either. The house is advertised as 4 rooms with queen size beds. This is a lean. Two rooms have queen-size beds and 2 rooms have double beds. The house has an awful lot of overdue maintenance work: the front door is stuck, the handrail around the pool is loose, the walls on the outside of the house are full of marks. There are rust spots on the surface of the sink's drying area. The stove is black from the accumulation of dirt around the gas burner. The towels in the guest bathroom are all faded and washed out.
