206 Kloppenheim Country Estate is a comfortable self-catering unit situated inside the beautiful Gooderson Kloppenheim Country Estate. This lovely country retreat is set in the heart of the Highlands Meander, only a 2 hour drive from Pretoria and OR Tambo International Airport. The Estate is located near to Machadodorp and Dullstroom, and lies en-route to the Kruger National Park, making it an ideal stopover location.
The unit can comfortably accommodate up to 4 guests, and comprises 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and an open-plan kitchen and living area. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and includes a stove and oven, a fridge-freezer, and all necessary cutlery and crockery. The cosy lounge area features a flat-screen TV and a fireplace. The living area leads out to a lovely patio with charcoal braai facilities, and patio furniture. Guests' can relax and enjoy the spectacular scenic views while having a relaxed braai.
The Kloppenheim offers plenty to keep you busy, and offers trout fishing, horse riding, archery, swimming and tennis. There is also plenty of bird life and free-roaming wild game on the property and you may be lucky enough to spot zebra, red hartebeest, black wildebeest, mountain reedbuck, and blesbok, as well as South Africa's national bird, the blue crane. If you are feeling energetic, you can take a hike on one of the estate's beautiful trails.
If you don't feel like cooking, enjoy a meal at the on-site Twigs Restaurant. The estate's hotel has a small library and large colonial furnished lounge offering restful spots to relax and unwind. The on-site Wellness Centre is available for a bit of pampering.
