Extra Fees

In addition to the rates in the table above, this establishment also charges a once-off R300 cleaning fee per booking.

Breakage Deposit

A refundable breakage deposit of R1000 is payable directly to the establishment.

House Rules

The cottage is on a residential property where the owner resides.
Please not that the studio is not suitable for children.

There is a set of House Rules available on the premises.

1. Welcome
The Studio’s maximum capacity is for 2 adults.

2. Children
Regrettably, The Studio is not suitable for children.

3. Check-in
Check in is from 15:00. Please make prior arrangement if this time is not suitable.

4. Parking
Off-road parking, with a designated area for 1 vehicle.

5. Off-limit areas
The deck area of the main home is off-limits.

6. Smoking
No smoking allowed in the Studio, however smoking is permitted at the braai area. Please place cigarette butts in the ashtray provided.

7. Parties and events
Absolutely no parties and events to be held in the Studio or garden

8. Visitors
No visitors allowed.

9. Noise and Neighbourhood
Quiet time from 21:00 to 07:00

10. Laundry
Speak to your host - 1 load of laundry will be permitted – there is no tumble-dryer.

11. Eating areas
Please do not eat in the bedroom.

12. Braai
Firewood and fire-lighters will be provided for 1 x braai.
 
13. Garbage and Recycling and septic tank
- There is a large bin provided for garbage, and the establishment actively supports recycling. Please speak to your host in this regard.
- This is a water-scarce area. Use water sparingly.
- The Studio has a septic tank. Please adhere to the signage placed in the bathroom in this regard.

14. Swimming pool
- Splash pool may be used between the hours of 10:00 and 15:00.
- No glassware may be used at pool.
- Pool to be used at your own risk.

15. Garden
The Studio is situated in an award-winning garden, and you may enjoy your coffee or tea in the designated seating areas in the garden.

16. Pets
Regrettably, no pets allowed.

17. Security
- Please close all windows and activate alarm upon leaving the premises
- Please make sure the main gate is closed after entering and leaving premises.

18. Damages and breakages
- Please notify the host immediately if/when breakages occur.
- An amount may be deducted from the security deposit should breakages occur.

19. Check-out arrangements
• Check-out is at 10:00
• Please make prior arrangements with the host if you would like to leave at an earlier time

20. Penalties and eviction
Please note that a violation of any of these rules is considered a breach of the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. The owner reserves the right to evict any guests or visitors who refuse to follow these house rules. The violation of house rules may result in deductions from the security deposit and/or other penalties.

21. Indemnity
- Note that your stay is and will be entirely at your own risk.
- An indemnity will be signed in accordance with all Covid protocols.

22. No same day bookings.

23. Maximum night stay of 5 nights.

24. Your host will be available for any queries you may have, and will be able to book restaurants, advise of the attractions the Village has to offer, as well as any local events in and around Sedgefield.
