Quiet and peaceful, perfect for a break away. Just too little guest service.

Very nice and quiet area, perfect for a break and a chance to rest. No complaints about the place and surroundings, Plekkie was neat and clean. There was no hot water for a full 3 day stay, My husband tried to see if he could see what was wrong but we didn't want to put things that we didn't like. . We were received on arrival and informed that Guest's wife had to travel to another province. Guest wife informed us that she will not be available but there is someone who can help. Had no contact with a person to be able to ask about hot water. Upon arrival, it was pointed out that basic coffee and tea were provided, (Less than a teaspoon of coffee and an almost empty bowl with a few half cookies in it). The overall feeling was peaceful and very nice. We had our own key which worked wonderfully to give us the freedom to come and go as we pleased.

Pleasant stay in the countryside between Sandton and Hartebeestport Dam.

Cosy cottage on a small holding, 14 kms from Hartebeesport Dam. A haven for horses. A nice hot shower, comfortable bed, provision made for loadshedding, including use of a braai and gas hob, and rechargeable lights. The electric blanket and oil heater helped ward off the winter chills. The landlady is very hospitable. It was a good base for scenic drives around the Dam and we were able to do a walk on the property itself.
