Description

Benmore Lodge is situated in rugged, steep, bushveld countryside, and is just 4 km from Kei Mouth.

Benmore Lodge offers guests a choice of staying in one of the Chalets, which sleep 4, or Bungalows, that sleep 6 people. The units are furnished with king-size and single beds, and each unit has a bathroom with a bath or a shower. For convenience, all linen is supplied, but guests need to bring their own beach and bath towels. Each of the units also has a kitchen, that is fully equipped with a microwave, a fridge-freezer, a toaster as well as a kettle, and there are braai facilities which are at the disposal of guests; braai packs can be bought from The Shed. The Chalets are equipped with TVs, but guests please need to bring their own decoder and smartcard. Bungalows do not have TV's.

The farm on which Benmore Lodge is situated, can be explored on foot and is just a short walk from the Strelitzia fields, and a wide variety of bird life, as well as game such as eland, impala, bontebok, kudu, bushbuck, wildebeest and zebra, can be seen. Also located on the farm, is The Shed, a fully stocked bar that offers pub meals, and it is located just a short walk from the Chalets. Membership of the popular Kei Mouth Country Club can be arranged, and the club offers golfing and golfing competitions as well as a restaurant and bar.

The town of Kei Mouth offers lovely clean beaches with lifeguards that on duty in the holiday season. Guests can also go deep sea fishing, do horseback trails, walking trails, visit the Cape Morgan Nature Reserve, and enjoy the music festival which occurs between Christmas and New Year.
