Berard's Pringle Bay Beach House

We had problems with the alarm system during load shedding, otherwise it was okay.

The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfortable and clean, the bathrooms were nice, there was a beautiful view from the terrace, and there was easy access to the beach.

Picture perfect.

A relaxing weekend stay, and we absolutely loved the house. The house and its views are great, and we loved the proximity to the mountain fynbos as well as an easy walk to the beach. The equipment and other resources were great, and the host was so helpful in getting us all set up. I really enjoyed cooking in the kitchen with all the generous and top-notch equipment, and the artistic colours and fabrics.

Die twee badkamers was 'n groot plus en die vuurherd in die koue weer was fantasties.

Relaxing getaway.

We loved our stay! With icy weather, we stayed indoors mostly, adoring the fireplace and all the other details that made for a wonderful stay, super comfy beds (electric blankets), great showers and the constant sound of the ocean.

A beautiful house in a beautiful location.

A home away from home! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the house. It was clean and had absolutely everything that you would want when going away. We had multiple visits from the baboons. One morning after breakfast we were a bit careless in leaving the veranda door open. They walked right in and finished our breakfast and helped themselves to everything they could find in the fridge. It was quite scary because there were females with babies in the troop of about 6.

This home is full of love- and was the perfect setting for our little family holiday! All so carefully thought out: the kitchen is a dream; the home well equipped for load shedding; incredible views; exceptionally comfortable beds with linen to match, excellent communication from the hostess; Maria was ready and waiting for us when we arrived; oh, and the fireplace was so cosy and warm!. I personally loved that there was no TV. This home set the venue and tone for a very special family holiday. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Hierdie sonnige en stylvol-gemeubileerde eiendom bied aan die sielsmoeë stadsbewoner 'n ideale rusplek! Sit ure lank op die houtdek en tuur uit oor die see en berge terwyl jy lekker koffie or wyn drink! Die huis is baie goed ingerig. Geen TV forseer 'n mens om ander dinge te doen. Die beddens is baie gemaklik met hoë kwaliteit beddegoed. As jy van 'n ferm slaapkussing hou, neem dalk jou eie saam. Hoogs aan te bevele! Die bobbejane is daar om vermaak te verskaf en jou dalk op jou stoep te kom begroet.

Dit was 'n goeie en klas kuiertjie naby aan die see en mooi omgewing.

Die huis is stapafstand van die see en selfs mooi fynbos in die omgewing. Goed toegerus. Van 'n oulike klein skottelgoedmasjien tot 'n Bialetti. Die uitsig van die balkon af is beter as die foto's.

Ongelooflike uitsig en sonsondergange.

Die plekke is ongelooflik en kan dit regtig aanbeveel. 'n Kaggelvuur met wyn en 'n lekker boek en jy kan voorwaardelik lekker rus.

Dit was heerlik!

Netjies, skoon, huislik en goed toegerus. Rustige atmosfeer. Baie mooi dekor. Het al die tydskrifte en boeke baie geniet.

Ons kom definitief weer!

Dit is 'n pragtige seehuis met 'n mooi uitsig vanaf 'n heerlike kuierstoep, klein entjie se stap van die naaste strandjie. Mooiste ou meubels en decor (vir die wie dit sal waardeer), 'n hele kis vol games vir die kinders, kaggel, baie lekker beddens, baie gerieflike kombuis met meer as wat jy nodig het, soos skottelgoedwasser, potte en panne en kombuistoerusting, mooiste bakke en eetgerei. Daar is nie 'n TV en wi-fi nie, so mense wat baie daarvan gebruik maak, gaan dalk sukkel as die weer sleg is, veral met kinders. Ons het gelukkig die games ontdek en die kids het hulleself lekker besig gehou. Ons hou baie van braai en daar is net 'n Weber. Dis al waaroor ek kan "kla"!

Lovely house with everything (and more) that you might need. Beautiful views. Outside patio sheltered from the wind. The outside shower is a winner. Enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

I spent two glorious days at Berard's with three of my sisters - our first reunion since 2016!

This was my second stay at Berard's Pringle Bay Beach House. My family and I have had numerous weekend breakaways to Pringle Bay, Rooi Els, Gansbaai, Stilbaai, Kleinmond, Hermanus and the West Coast - and I can say that Berard's is by far my favourite favourite spot. We have absolutely fallen in love with this gem of a home. We received an incredibly warm welcome by Maria (who waited patiently for our arrival after an unexpected delay). From the moment you step inside, one just gets the feeling that this is a space where precious memories have been made. The quaint beach house is spotless, fresh and beautifully decorated. I love the mix of bright, vibrant colours and quirky patterns combined with lived-in, wooden furnishings and personal touches that just add so much character to the space. The kitchen has everything one could possibly need - and I'm living vicariously through the SMEG kettle and toaster! The home has been assembled with care. The beds are comfortable. I'd like to know where the duvets were bought, because they're just right. Even the shower heads just deliver the best showers. (I've done my fair share of dancing around under wonky shower heads - and these are just bliss. ). The verandah with the long wooden table is just the perfect spot for long, relaxing 'kuier' (visit) time, meals, boardgames, breathing space. And although the house isn't on the beach, it's a really easy walk to get there (and I'm super unfit). From the verandah, one has the breathtaking view of fynbos, mountains and sea in the distance. Behind the house, you have mountain and more fynbos. I love the fact that the house is set on a small stretch of gravel road. One really feels as if you're away from it all the bustle of a busy life. I even love their collection of books. And the thought put into things like a picnic basket, equipped and just ready to pack with goodies for a beach or mountain picnic. Snuggle little blankets in a big basket in the lounge for chilly evenings. Games. A Weber braai. Even a small rucksack for when one needs to take things along on a walk - very useful, as I forgot mine! Thank you so much, Maria, and to the owners of this home who have made it available for others to share it. I suspect they must be a pretty awesome family. Because one can feel the love. Soppy moment done and dusted. Needless to say, I'm a fan. Oh, and no. There is no WiFi and no television. Sheer bliss!

Rustige wegbreekplekkie, volledig toegerus met pragtige dekor.

Kombuis is veral goed toegerus, perfek vir 'n wegbreeknaweek uit die stad met kwaliteit familietyd.

Beautiful, welcoming house with a stunning view of the ocean. From the moment we booked, the owner, Jan, communicated with us and responded promptly and honestly to all our questions. Once we arrived, Maria welcomed us at the house and made sure we were comfortable before she left. Her lovely personality and kind demeanour makes you want to invite her to join you for the whole period of your stay!. Both Jan and Maria were available for any questions or assistance throughout our stay, and once we left, Maria went far beyond the call of duty to return stuff that we accidentally left there. In fact, it is the first time ever that someone called us (and not the other way round) to inform us that we left a cell phone charger behind. Although we knew there was not WiFi, we really missed it as it is not always possible to just leave your normal life behind.

The most beautifully decorated accommodation. It was like stepping into a magazine. Fully equipped with everything one could wish for.

We used the indoor fireplace every day as we had cold and windy weather. We did miss television and a bathtub. Also, there is not much storage for groceries in the beautiful kitchen. We were able to walk to the shops and the beach. Pringle Bay is very quiet out of season.

Comfortable and cozy. It had everything we needed and more. Fabulous house.

The only thing that would be the cherry on top would be WiFi. It was great to not have it on all the time, but with teenagers and work it would be very convenient. It wouldn't stop us from coming again though.

Die huis is smaakvol versier en die kombuis is toegerus met 'n groot verskeidenheid en beste kwaliteit toebehore. Die skottelgoedwasser was 'n groot pluspunt. Die groot stoep is ideaal vir net sit en na die see en berge te kyk. Selfs die kombuis het 'n pragtige uitsig.

Fantasties. Die sunset was soos 'n droom van die balcony af.

Die huisie en die ligging is net perfek. Ek en my vriende het ons gate uit geniet.

Ek het al voorheen in die hotel oorgeslaap wanneer ek soontoe reis, maar sal nooit weer nadat ek hierdie fantastiese huis ontdek het nie. Baie lekker plek!
