Best campsite I've been to.

Huge sites, private, impala and nyala are your neighbours. Private ablution is great. Family of 4 to one toilet/shower is okay, if you are sharing with multiple families or big groups you will need to time your ablutions appropriately. The map of the reserve is useless and is of no resemblance to the actual roads, apparently, they working on it. We got hopelessly lost and eventually made our way back using Google Maps, at least cell coverage is good. Roads are doable in a normal car, good ground clearance would be an advantage. We had to turn back a few times due to thick sand or huge ruts and nearly got stuck a few times particularly the road down to the flood plains where my car bottomed out continuously. Also had to move the odd tree or branch knocked by elephants. Didn't see any game except buck. Free WiFi in camp was an unexpected bonus. Restaurant food is very average and only 2 options available. Place was quiet and peaceful. Barely saw any other guests.

Beautiful and clean campsites.

Bonamanzi was a beautiful reserve, it felt very safe and the facilities and campsite themselves were very clean and the private ablutions were brilliant.

Awesome campsite, reception service horrific.

Stayed without water during complete stay. Only had water on arrival for 1 hour. Power tripped after load shedding due to faulty electrical systems that need a lot of maintenance. No power for rest of stay.

Bonamanzi sien ons weer!
