Ons sal glad nie die gastehuis aanbeveel nie. Toe ons Maandagmiddag 3 Julie daar aankom was die ontvangsdame skoon deurmekaar en sê hulle is volbespreek. Ek moes vir haar my email wys dat ons wel al 'n 50% deposito gemaak het. Toe bel sy 'n ander gastehuis om te hoor of hulle plek het, hulle was ook volbespreek. We would not recommend the guest house at all. When we got there on Monday afternoon, July 3, the receptionist was completely confused and said they were fully booked. I had to show her my email that we had already made a 50% deposit. Then she called another guest house to find out if they had room, they were also fully booked. Then she put us in the room at reception. The room's curtains were dirty, there was only one bedside lamp and not like in one of the pictures I found. I also had to ask for a bulb for the one lamp. We had to put the kettle on the ground if we wanted to boil it for coffee. There is an opening in the ceiling (I guess you could call it a type of manhole), but it's not even properly closed and hasn't been painted in years. The toilet bowl on our return was terribly dirty that evening, my husband had to wash it. The water pressure in the shower was virtually non-existent, we could barely wash our hair. The room is neglected. My husband happened to see another room open on Tuesday afternoon and they let us move in on Wednesday morning. On the surface it looked much better, but when we got in it was just amazing how neglected the room is, the blinds were dirty, the microwave was dirty, the wall against which the bed stands is brown with dirt. The straw pillows on the bed stank of smoke. The remote controls are dirty and sticky. I had to go and ask for toilet paper, coffee, sugar and coffee mugs (the kitchen is in just as terrible condition) dishes are lying around, there are holes under the cupboards. There was also not enough covered parking at all. We are very disappointed because the pictures we could look through do not show the dirt and no maintenance on things, the pictures are very misleading, I can't believe we paid R3700 for 4 nights in such a dirty place.
