Description

This self-catering cottage is located on a working organic olive and chilli farm only 3 km from the rustic village of Van Wyksdorp in the Klein Karoo. It offers fabulous views over the valley and the Langeberg Mountains in the distance and is home to a beautiful dam for swimming.

This cottage can sleep up to 5 guests and comprises 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a kitchen, and a living area. The main bedroom is furnished with a double bed and features an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet, and washbasin. The second bedroom contains 1 bunk bed and 1 single bed.

The open-plan kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, gas hob, oven, microwave, toaster, basic cutlery and crockery, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities. There’s also a dining table with chairs where guests can enjoy their meals together. The living area has a lounge suite and the doors lead to the veranda which has a dining table with chairs and a braai area, allowing guests to enjoy the view of the green hills in the distance. Secure parking is available next to the cottage.

The cottage is situated next to a kloof and a mountain stream, which is perfect for walking, quiet contemplation or having a picnic in pristine surroundings and natural beauty. There are cycling trails around the village, and many artists in the village showcase their creations at the Buffelfontein Gallery. There are various restaurants for guests to try and the famous VanWyksdorp Mall offers a must-do shopping experience.
