Bushwhacked is a self-catering house in Barberton, situated on the edge of town backing onto an uninhabited valley, with spectacular views.
Accommodation is offered in 4 basic, clean and comfortable double rooms in the main Bushwhacked house, all of which have access to a communal kitchen, lounge and dining area. Some of the units also have a seating area, two of the bedrooms in the main house have en suite bathrooms and two share a communal bathroom. Linen and bath towels are provided. There is a patio with braai. The owners live on the next door property.
There is a separate self contained rondavel, Skip's Shack. for 1-2 persons with 1 double bed, en suite shower room, kitchenette and braai. We also have a larger family chalet, The Woodshed, which is fully self contained, open plan kitchen, lounge, dining, braai and can accommodate up to 7 guests.
There are some lovely walks from Bushwhacked, into the mountains and valleys behind us. Visit the Barberton museum and some of the old gold miners houses, that have been restored to original condition, with original furniture.
Drive yourself or take a tour up the GeoTrail historical, geological route soon to be given World Heritage status. Tours into gold mines and to gold rush ghost towns can be arranged by Dusty Tracks tour company.
