Not great value for money.

This might look like a great option but actually isn't. The price charged is not justified for what you get. We paid more than R7000 for two nights and were not even provided with firewood. Shocking! The small swimming pool on the top balcony should be a Jacuzzi instead. There are several broken/loose tiles all over the place and quite a few in the kitchen that are about to break if you step on them. There is a very dangerous sliding window on one side of the top level that should have a railing to prevent a child or even an adult from falling through that window if it is open. How this house was approved for occupation by the municipality and how it can be advertised here with a window like that is mind-boggling as someone can get seriously injured or killed if he/she falls out that window next to the TV. The garage is full of the owner's goods and a boat so you cannot park your vehicle inside the garage. How can this be if it is advertised as paying for the entire house? No firewood and/or charcoal were made available so if you did not bring your own then it is a long drive back to town to get some. No electric blankets, heaters or aircon to warm up/cool rooms except in the one room. There are no TVs in any of the rooms so everyone ends up watching the same channel on the one TV. No soap bowls or stands in the showers so you have to put things on the floor. No towel rails or hooks. Really? For the price you pay, one would not expect to experience these issues and shortcomings. We travel a lot and I am not one to complain but this was not great value for money.

Firstly payment was made more than a week late and only received after departure.
The rules and regulations clearly state that you enter the property at your own risk, if the window bothers you, keep it closed.
Whether the pool is sufficient for you or not, it is the prerogative of the owner whether he prefers a splash pool, which it is, or a jacuzzi.
Every single room in the house has an air-conditioner for heat or cooling down.
There are 2 cracked tiles correct, of which guests have broken in the past.
We rent out our home for holiday accommodation only, not for use of the garage.
Also, we pride ourselves in having our guests enjoy the stillness of nature and the spectacular views, so a TV is not our main priority.
It is a self-catering unit as advertised and is rented out as such, so wood and or charcoal is not included.
I am sorry it was not what you expected, but have not ever had any bad comments as such in the 12 years we have owned the property.
We are in the final process of renovations and the flooring is the last thing on our list to be done.
