Plettenberg Bay is situated midway between Knysna and Tsitsikamma and has 20 kilometres of wonderful golden beaches on the Indian Ocean. The famous Robberg beach has international Blue Flag status. There are spectacular hikes and walks along the coast and in the forest. In and around there a myriad of excellent restaurants and Plett has its own vineyards where light lunches can be enjoyed.
Plettenberg Bay has a number of major attractions. These range from two elephant sanctuaries, a snake park, and the Tenikwa Wildlife Awareness Centre with cheetahs and many rare and endangered small cats. Whale and dolphin watching can be done from both the shore and out on boats. There is a large Cape Fur seal colony on the Robberg peninsula. Many more activities such as trips up the Keurbooms river and bird watching can fill up your day. Then last, but no least, two wonderful Golf courses.
