Pleasant but needs work.

We stayed as a family with adult children and had 3 rooms booked. Only one of the rooms had nice hot water in the shower, the other two had lukewarm water which took an age to come through. The one room (in the House) had a WiFi dome right in the bedroom which gave off a blue light all night, illuminating the space. Only after making full payment did I notice that the rates did not include breakfast, and we were not offered breakfast either.

Thanks for your review Shirley, we have gas geysers all round set at 43 degrees C for this year's hot summer. No cold water is necessary at this setting which makes it a lot easier to manage the water flow. I do acknowledge that some guests may prefer a different temperature setting. Apologies you missed our Room Only indicator on the website but we do offer a full English breakfast as an optional extra at R100 pp. We will add a notice to guests reminding them to confirm this when checking in. Will definitely look into removing/switching off the light on the wifi but hopefully the lightning fast wifi in your room made up for it.

Well kept gardens and pleasant staff. Accommodation needs upgrading.

Bathroom door did not close. Although it was a self-catering unit, the communal kitchen was outside. Staff very pleasant.

Good but won't be back.

Check-in was easy, the room was good. The fridge was off, the light above the toilet didn't work (I reported it and it was not fixed). There was only half a roll of toilet paper for 75% of my stay, and the shower door didn't close, causing the bathroom floor to flood. The breakfast wors was dry and overcooked. On my last night, they hosted a church group that was noisy after 22:00, which made for an unpleasant experience. Check-out was simply dropping the keys in the lockbox, with no check-out questions or inquiries about my stay. A very average experience.

It was very comfortable and lovely!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at De Witte Guest House. I felt extremely welcomed by the owners! The suite I stayed in was wonderfully comfortable and I found I could unwind. The space was peaceful! The breakfast was delicious! Thank you!
