Absoluut heerlik!

Ons was aangenaam verras om so 'n ruim, netjiese en goed toegeruste huis aan te tref. Ons was regtig beïndruk met die geriewe en fantastiese ligging van die huis in 'n baie veilige area en binne bereik van die winkels. Ons het die naweek terdeë geniet en veral die kinders was in hul noppies met die groot verskeidenheid bordspelletjies wat tot hul beskikking was. Ons het vir drie nagte bespreek en betaal en was met die oggend van ons vertrek vasgevang in Hermanus deurdat al die paaie terug Suid-Kaap toe afgesny was weens vloedskade. Ons het die vriendelike mense van Die Blokhuis gekontak vir 'n ekstra nag verblyf en ons is gratis gehuisves! Baie baie dankie vir julle onbaatsigtigheid Die Blokhuis, ons harte loop oor van dankbaarheid vir julle goedheid. Mag God julle oorvloedig seën met Sy liefde, Sy genade en Sy vrede.

Absolutely delicious!

We were pleasantly surprised to find such a spacious, tidy and well-equipped house. We were really impressed with the facilities and fantastic location of the house in a very safe area and within easy reach of the shops. We thoroughly enjoyed the weekend and the children in particular had a blast with the large selection of board games available to them. We booked and paid for three nights and were stuck in Hermanus on the morning of our departure because all the roads back to the Southern Cape were cut off due to flood damage. We contacted the friendly people of Die Blokhuis for an extra night's stay and we were accommodated for free! Thank you very much for your selflessness Die Blokhuis, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for your kindness. May God bless you abundantly with His love, His grace and His peace.

Love Hermanus, pleasant stay.

However, a cleaning fee of R2500 was a bit over the top. The garden is a bit overgrown. Drop off box for the key needs to be replaced. Also, the initial fee was taken out from the credit card. The owners of the first house we tried, were not happy to rent out the house. So the deposit should not have been taken out of my account as the 1st house was not available.

We would like to reply as follows to the issues you have raised:
We make use of a professional cleaning company to ensure a high standard of cleanliness. In this instance the total cleaning fee was R2848.80, of which almost 50% was for laundering towels and linen (8 adults). As for the garden, we accommodated you and your party on less than a day’s notice. We could not get a gardener in on such short notice and it was raining at the time. As for the key box, we will take that up with the property manager.
We also note a score of 1 for service. We provided several phone numbers where you could have contact us 24/7. In fact we invited you to do so in several whatsapps. This is a self-catering facility and we are not sure what further services you would have preferred. Kindly elaborate.
