Beautiful views and peaceful stay.

Unit was clean, spacious and well equipped. It was also well positioned in the estate. Beautiful views, very peaceful. We were very comfortable and would definitely visit again.

Pragtige huis binne 'n lieflike wildlewe-oord.

Doornkop is 'n pragtige oord met baie wildlewe en die hengeldamme is baie mooi en skoon. Doornkop22 is werlik 'n baie mooi huis met mooi uitsigte oor damme en die berg. Dit was skoon en goed georganiseerd en die kaggel het die huis lekker warm gehou. Ons het lekker ontspan met dié dat niemand heeldag op hulle selfone kon wees met die min sein wat daar is nie en dit is juis wat jy nodig het om uit te rus. Ons sal enige dag teruggaan na Doornkop22.

Gorgeous location, wandering game in the hills, very peaceful and beautiful.

The house itself was very comfortable and well appointed, everything we could possibly need or want in the kitchen, lots of extra comfy blankets for those cold nights, and thoughtful touches like the board games and the binoculars. Lovely patio and sunny lounge, fireplace inside heats up the whole living area, and great undercover braai outside. All in all, a great place to stay. We'll definitely visit again.

A very enjoyable stay indeed.

We spent a long weekend here with our two daughters (18 and 20). It was very peaceful. Fly-fishing is excellent. There are plenty of walking and biking trails. Lots of animals to see and birding is wonderful too. Chalet is very comfortable and very well equipped. Kitchen has everything you would require, even a potjie pot. Lots of extra blankets, throws and pillows and the couches and beds are extremely comfortable. Lots of board games for those long evenings. Fridge is very large with a freezer section. There is also a smaller bar fridge in the bar. WiFi is available at reception to purchase. We did have cell reception in the house. Would recommend the Machadodorp road. Staff very friendly and accommodating and the owner is very responsive to any WhatsApps sent. We will be back.

Fantastic accommodation with everything you need. The Doornkop Reserve is a beautiful gem to get away to. Unit 22 is designed to give you the best combination of a cool and breezy summer house and a cost warm winter retreat.

Die enigste wat gepla het, was gaste wat harde musiek heeldag gespeel het, wat steurend was en daar is niks aan gedoen nie. Ook die feit dat skoonmaker Sondagoggend voor 10h inkom.

Fantasties, gaan sommer binnekort weer daar kuier.

Baie lekker en rustige wegbreek plek. Eenheid 22 is lekker ruim en netjies met alles wat jy nodig het. Sal dit beslis aanbeveel.

Tranquil and scenic.

Really a nice relaxing environment with activities for the kids as well. The lodge itself needs a bit of upgrading though.

Beautiful, sanctuary, relaxed, ideal for family holiday.

My family had an amazing holiday for a week at Doornkop unit 22. The place is clean. Beautiful, a sanctuary and a great family environment. Braai areas available, swimming pool, animal game drive. You literally do not have to go anywhere. It has entertainment for everyone. Neat kids play areas at club house. A large variety of board games. Great, friendly owners. We had a breakdown on our way and Simone was very helpful, advised where she could despite the car challenge. We absolutely had an amazing time.

We absolutely loved our stay. The place was easy to find and the road was smooth. No hassle to get the keys, everything was made easy for us. The house is absolutely stunning and well exceeded our expectations. The dishwasher was a great help (kitchen extremely well equipped). A wonderful lady also came to clean twice a day. The house was in great condition and had everything we needed. We will definitely be returning. Very impressed with Unit 22. Thank you for everything!
