We made the most of it.

We arrived to a dirty place! Had to clean before we could unpack anything in the kitchen. The fridge was filthy and the freezer was dirty. It was absolutely disgusting. There was food stuck in the drain of the kitchen sink. Floors and bathroom were also not cleaned properly, and the excuse was load shedding. There were a few other problems, but I'll leave it there. The host was not very helpful; we had to contact her a few times when we needed something. Although the place is nice, we will definitely not be returning.

Unfortunately, I was out of the country during this stay; however, I did respond immediately to the issues raised and my co-host was on-site and very helpful. The cleaners definitely had a difficult time getting everything properly cleaned without electricity, but this has been addressed. I do not fully agree with the comments made here as the pictures I was shown by the guest were not at all bad. However, everyone is entitled to their opinion and some guests will just never be happy no matter what lengths you go to to please them.

Thank you for your comments, Bertha. The cabin is equipped for six people comfortably in terms of crockery, cutlery, glasses, etc., but I have never really seen a reason for Tupperware. I will consider this advice.

The venue was absolutely fantastic and we will definitely have to make a trip out there again.

The venue offers kids a lot of activities. No age restrictions. Was absolutely wonderful to be in a quiet area away from the busy city buzz. If you want to enjoy family time, this is the best location ever.

Familieplek, baie rustig, mooi natuurskoon, kon diep rus.

Ons het heerlik gekuier by Flock Inn. Die kuiers om die vuurput was 'n hoogtepunt gewees. Die huis is goed ingerig en ruim genoeg (6 volwassenes). Goed geleë binne die reservaat. Pragtige staproetes.

Lekker naweekwegbreek met ons tieners en my ouers.

Heerlike, rustige vakansie-oord. Die lekkerste was dat ons die geruis van die branders amper heeltyd kon hoor. Die huis is eenvoudig en kompak, maar goed uitgelê en netjies met als wat mens nodig het. Die gasstoof en liggies vir loadshedding was baie nuttig as die krag af is. Ons het die bordspeletjies, tafeltennis en tennis baie geniet en my man en seun het lekker visgevang in die lagoon. Let wel dat die see nie bereik kan word vanaf Fisherhaven behalwe om deur die lagoon te stap nie. (Die brug is onbruikbaar). Anchen was egter so gaaf om ons 'n kano te gee wat ons kon gebruik om oor te vaar. Die braaiplek was ook heerlik gesellig vir kuier saans. Ons sal dit beslis aanbeveel. Nice weekend break with our teenagers and my parents.

Lovely, peaceful holiday resort. The best part was that we could hear the sound of the waves almost all the time. The house is simple and compact, but well laid out and tidy with everything you need. The gas stove and lights for load shedding were very useful when the power is out. We really enjoyed the board games, table tennis and tennis and my husband and son enjoyed fishing in the lagoon. Note that the sea cannot be reached from Fisherhaven except by walking through the lagoon. (The bridge is unusable). However, Anchen was kind enough to give us a canoe that we could use to cross. The braai place was also wonderfully cozy for visiting in the evening. We would definitely recommend it. Lovely quiet and lots of birds to see. However, a thinner fleece blanket per bed would be nice for warmer evenings if duvet is too warm.

Dankie Nerien, bly dat julle al die geriewe gebruik het en julle kuier geniet het. Ons wag vir Cape Nature om die brug te herstel, ons mag ongelukkig dit nie self reg maak nie. Daar is dunner komberse en duvets in die Cabin so as julle terug kom vra asseblief vir Anchen daarvoor.

The best holiday I had in a long time.

The moment we entered, we were greeted by a very friendly Anchen. The weekend was great and the kids enjoyed every activity available to them. I will definitely be booking again. A big 10 out of 10 and worth the visit.
