The Old Wagon-bridge about 5km out of town. It was the first bridge over the Orange-river and was build in 1872 by a Scotties engineer who was never on site. Part of the bridge was blown away by the British in the Anglo-Boer war. Hopetown is part of the Battlefield-route.
The Doornbult-concentration camp is situated about 6 km out of town on the Orania route. lots of history.....
