Garrick Cottage is 50 m from the sea and offers affordable sea-side holidays for families. Located in Uvongo, a small, tranquil seaside town 2 hours away from the turmoil of Durban, you can relax, unwind and enjoy all the wonderful attractions in the surrounding area.
Garrick Cottage is a comfortable and homely, free-standing cottage in the centre of the complex. The cottage has 2 bedrooms. The main bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, basin and toilet. The large second bedroom has 2 single beds and a bunk bed. It also has an en-suite bathroom with a bath, basin and toilet. The cottage boasts a large living area with a dining area as well as a flat-screen TV with DStv Premium. The living area leads to a fully-equipped open-plan kitchen. There are shared braai facilities next to the front patio. The cottage has a limited sea view and wooden floors.
A sparkling swimming pool is available to guests and the ocean is on your doorstep. A covered carport for a medium-sized car is available behind an electric fence with remote access gates. A security guard patrols the complex at night.
There are numerous restaurants, pubs and delicatessens within walking distance.
Attractions in the area include the world-famous Oribi Gorge with the Wild 5 adventure activities which includes the highest Gorge swing in the world, and Lake Eland game reserve with the suspension bridge and 2 Zipline tours. The Wild Coast Casino Resort and Golf Course, offers many attractions, which include the Wild Waves Water Park and Waterworlds cruises on the Umtamvuna River and it is only 39 km away. There are 8 superb golf courses, numerous hiking and cycling trails in the area.
