Grandpa Oak

Very pleasant and everything accessible.

We enjoyed the quietness, walking to the shops, and took the kids to Birds Paradise. We will be bringing my mother-in-law next time.

An ideally situated place, with a nice pool and a great host.

We really enjoyed our stay. There were a few minor things that would have made it better (soap and a hand towel in the bathroom and an extension cable so the side light in the main bedroom could plug in), but the host was extremely friendly and helpful. The place was generally clean, and I'd stay there again.

Awesome, lovely stay.

We had a lovely stay. Had use of swimming pool just for us, which was a bonus. Working space in the kitchen is a bit small. There is a small table and only 4 chairs, whereas it's a 6 sleeper. It gets a bit hot inside, especially at night in summer, so fans or an air conditioner would be great. It was nice and quiet, just what we needed. It rained on Saturday, and there was a leak at the indoor fireplace and in the bedroom at the back. Outside: Nice small braai stand. Steel table and 4 chairs (some cushions would be great for the chairs).

It was okay, I would say misleading advertising.

The house really needs updating, especially the kitchen. We were six people but there were only 4 chairs, the table could not accommodate all of us, far too small. The only area that was good, was the bathroom. The house that was advertised was not the house we "really" booked.

The accommodation is nice. Our only issue was the fact that we had no hot water for showering/bathing.

Other than the issue with the hot water, we enjoyed our stay.

Theresa was ongelooflik vriendelik en ons het baie lekker gebly. Die plekkie het soos plaas gevoel en ons het die kaggel in die kombuis baie geniet. Ideale plekkie vir 'n vinnige wegbreek. Het beslis in ons behoefte voorsien.

Neat and tidy rooms, excellent water pressure, lovely pool and a very generous host!

We arrived at the accommodation, this is where my team would be staying for a weekend. Theresa was very warm and welcoming and we had a good stay. She was also accommodating regarding our check-in and check-out times as our work vehicle had broken down.

Uitstekend.

Baie lekker naweek daar gehad. Theresa was 'n baie aangename gasvrou. Sal sterk aanbeveel.

Value for money, quality stay.

The place exceeded our expectations. Theresa was a lovely and thoughtful host. The area was equally lovely and offered great convenience and fun attractions and restaurants.

I'm returning in December that says it all.

Theresa was such a super star. Felt like I know her for years, so accommodating and really went out of her way for us.

Netjiese eenheid, gedeelde erf met einaars.

Die plek was netjies, en goed uitgerus. Eienaars was vriendelik, en was baie oulik met ons diere. Daar is slegs 'n deur tussen die hoofslaapkamer van die eienaars en die eenheid se badkamer. En ons kon hul hoor, terwyl ons die badkamer gebruik (maw hul kan ons ook hoor). Deel erf met eienaars. Geen diewering aan vensters en deure. Ek glo die eienaars moet vooraf mense bewusmaak dat die eenhied op dieselfde erf is as hul huis, en dat geriewe gedeel word met hul.

Wonderlik, fantasties, onvergeetlik en 'n naweek wat ek nie gou sal vergeet nie.

'n Onvergeetlike naweek agter die rug. Sal enige een aanbeveel om by Grandpa Oak in te boek. Ons was goed ontvang. Gasvryheid uit die boonste rakke. Die eienaars is lieflike mense wat jou tuis laat voel. Dit was werklik 'n wonderlike naweek. Baie dankie Theresa en eggenoot vir jul gasvryheid.

Ongelooflik.

Soos ek gesê het, dit was ongelooflik. Vriendelikheid, gasvrye ontvangs.

Baie oulike plekkie.

Grandpa Oak is definitief 'n plek om te gaan rustig wees en ontspan. Veilige omgewing. Baie netjies en die beste ontvangs ooit! Die huis het alles wat jy benodig en Theresa is die mees vriendelikste mens ooit. Ons kon lekker kuier langs die swembad. Alles was net 10/10. Dankie vir 'n awesome tyd Theresa. Ek sal beslis jou plekkie aanbeveel. En definitief weer terugkom!

Warm, homely atmosphere.

The host was warm and inviting, catered to every whim we had. The area is quiet and a stone's throw away from the supermarket for any needs. Safe and secure, the unit catered to anything and everything we needed. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Thanks again to Theresa and family for an amazing weekend!

We had a lovely, peaceful and relaxing weekend.

We had a lovely peaceful weekend. We were greeted by the owner, Theresa, with an amazingly warm and friendly welcome, we each got a chocolate on our beds which were such a cute and sweet touch after having such a long drive. Everything we needed was in the house. We even had a gas stove, lights and Wi-Fi during loadshedding which was great. She was very accommodating with anything else we may have needed or had questions about. We were also allowed to bring our fur baby which is such an upside for us. She treated him with absolute love and let him roam the garden and grounds for the entire weekend which he loved. The garden is so peaceful with a beautiful large oak tree that gives lovely shade to the surrounding area. We also got to use the swimming pool in the lovely hot weather which we and our son absolutely enjoyed without a doubt. The pool is also surrounded by a fence with a gate so you don't have the worry of your kids or fur baby's getting into the pool without you knowing. We had a great weekend and we will most definitely be back by Grandpa Oak again.
