We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for your review. Unfortunately, we have to use cleaning services due to the lack of reliable local help. I apologize profusely for their miscalculation of time; they should have been finished well before your arrival. As you can see from previous reviews, this is not a usual problem. As this is a holiday house, I do not live in the area, so I am dependent on feedback from guests that stay in the house and cleaners to report any maintenance needed, as we are not a hotel with staff that serves this purpose. Perhaps next time you use Lekkerslaap or any of the home rental services, it would be most appreciated if you could drop an email to the host as soon as possible after your stay, so those small maintenance problems can be seen before the next guests arrive and not 3 weeks later on a review.

Lekker rustige kuierhuis vir vriende oor Paasnaweek met baie watersport op die rivier.

Ons het heerlik binne of buite gebraai en eintlik nie baie dorp toe gery nie. Ons was net ver genoeg uit dat dit stil en lekker was. Die huis sit ook ver genoeg van rivier dat daar nie sommer ongelukke met kinders kan gebeur nie, maar naby genoeg dat jy ten minste twee na drie keer 'n dag op die rivier is. The house is also far enough from the river that no accidents can happen with children, but close enough that you are on the river at least two to three times a day. Due to the high rainfall we have had in the last 2 months, the road has deteriorated very badly. The road usually gets scraped, but they have not done so yet. We do highly recommend that guests use the road through Stilbaai and I remind guests when sending check in details.
