Wonderful experience off grid.

Our family enjoyed our stay at Heartwood Homestead, and learned a lot about life off-grid. Our hosts opened their home to us, and were helpful. Our busy girls, always had something to do. We are sold on the compost toilet.

Ons het dit báie geniet by Heartwood Homestead en sal graag weer hier kom ontspan. Die uitsig oor die vallei is asemrowend en skep die atmosfeer vir rus en ontspan met 'n boek of 'n bordspeletjie.

Peace and quiet.

After emerging from the pathway carved through the bush that leads to the cottage, this wide beautiful valley opens up before you. All you want to do is sit on the little deck and stare out into the distance. So quiet, so still. really relaxing. The sleeper couch may not be suitable for an adult, it's a little stiff and narrow but should be fine for a child. Perfect for a one or two night stay. Wonderful hosts. Freshly squeezed farm milk in the fridge!

Fantastic off-the-grid experience.

We loved being away on the farm, the cottage was very well kitted out and comfortable with fantastic views. Roger and Karen were most welcoming hosts, making the stay extra special.

Dit is rustige en uiters gerieflike verblyf in die natuur, met lieflike mense wat met oop arms ontvang! Nie net die normale gasvryheid nie, maar bo en behalwe!

As jy lief is vir die natuur en of graag plaasatmosfeer geniet, of selfs net 'n bietjie stilte en vrede wil ervaar, is hierdie die ideale blyplek, met al die geriewe netjies en sorgsaam aangebied. Dit is 'n plekkie waar mens werklik rus, vrede en vriendelikheid ervaar en daar selfs vir jou plaas produkte aangebied en selfs aangedra word. Ons het ons verblyf en die omgewing wat meer as genoeg vir elke smaak aanbied, terdee geniet en sal dit enige tyd aanbeveel!
