Situated in Somerset West, Hillside Cottage offers comfortable self-catering accommodation in a peaceful studio cottage high up on the slopes of the Helderberg mountains, surrounded by trees. Listen to the sound of owls hooting as you fall asleep. The tastefully decorated self-contained cottage is situated at the front of a residential property shared with the owners. Guests have access to a shared driveway and front gate but the cottage itself is separate from the main house.
The open-plan studio cottage comprises a double bed, a fully equipped kitchen, and a living and dining area. There is a separate bathroom with a shower. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering with a fridge, an oven and stove, and a microwave, as well as a dishwasher for guests convenience. Guests are welcome to use the washing machine in the main house if need be. The cottage is equipped with fibre Wi-Fi connection, and a wood-burning stove for those chilly winter evenings.
The cottage also features an outside deck and a small garden surrounded by trees. There is a swimming pool on the property which guests are welcome to make use of; please be aware that the owners have small children who love to swim, so a quiet swim is not guaranteed. Your hosts are happy to help with recommendations on what do do in and around Somerset West, the Winelands or Cape Town. For guests staying longer than a weekend, your hosts can offer a cleaning and laundry service if needed.
