Baie bly om te hoor julle het lekker gebly.
Soos jy tereg se die vlakvarke is 'n probleem wat ons aan werk die eerste paar oplossings wat ons probeer het, het nie gewerk nie. Ons is nou besig met 2 nuwe oplossings of om die opening tussen die vloer en die grond toe te bou wat veroorsaak dat daar nie ventilasie onder die gebou gaan wees nie wat belangrik is vir die hout. Ons tweede opsie is op 'n elektriese draad wat hulle vir vee begeer gebruik daar te span wat weer 'n probleem gaan wees met die gaste se kinders, maar verseker werk ons aan die probleem.

Good day Pieter,
Thank you for your time to write us a review and for all the feedback of your experience at Hout huisie.
1. The construction that going on right next to Hout huisie is a problem especially so close as you mention that you cannot blame us, but the construction is I believe coming to the end soon. As soon as they are finished with everything, we are planning to go to Hout huisie to observe what can be done to get some of the privacy back with all the by-laws, at this stage we thinking of putting up some sort of a temporary fence and plant some trees to have a natural screen.
2. The warthog that lives under the house is a big problem ad we have put up an fence that did not work, now we thinking to put up one of those electric fences witch they use to control cattle, this is bringing new challenges with guest and the children.
3. As for the beds it is difficult to get the right beds for each individual as you will agree with the knowledge of your own back.
4. The ants I did ask pest control to attend to it urgently as it is not only a nuisance in the house, but as it is a wooden cottage it may also damage the structure.

As you said yourself, it is a humble house (cottage) specially for the family to get together and bond again as a family. Please tell your daughter I am really sorry about the Wi-Fi and I am sure she enjoyed the fun with the family more, and that is what we try to achieve at Hout huisie, no electronics only a good family gathering.

Thank you for your time to give a review and feedback on your stay.
I again apologize for the Builders noises at my neighbors, as I have explained there is nothing that we could do, and even we were not notified about the building.
We will look at a bigger fridge like the one that is in is a 157L fridge freezer.
We are also busy looking at other ways to keep the Hout huisie cooler as to install fans that just circulate the hot air.
Thank you again for your time and evert to give feedback and advice we really appreciate it, and can just make us better hosts.

Good day Jeanette,
I just want to thank you for your time to give us your experience and feedback of Hout Huisie.
As I’m busy with a house manual where I will explain the story behind the toilet and stop sign, it all had a specific story to the house.
As we are still developing the house, the fish pond is not completed yet and still needs some work, at this moment it self-feeding with fresh water, as the water level lower, but we still need a filter system.
Other than above I am very glad that you have enjoyed your stay at Hout Huisie and hope to see you again.
