Long weekend in Umdloti.

Idwala Tides is absolutely beautiful with a to-die-for view. We spent a long weekend from Sat-Tues. Everything about the unit was amazing. Unfortunately, the area was without electricity for over 30 hours from Sun afternoon - Mon night. The mini gas stove was not working and there was only one emergency light in the unit. We requested a refund for 1 night due to unforeseen food and data costs, but was advised that we will be given a voucher for 1 night instead. Although we have received our full deposit back, we have not received the voucher as yet. We look forward to receiving this voucher as we would love to revisit Idwala Tides, despite our bad luck with the electricity faults that weekend.

In regards to the apartment only be for 5 guests, the 6th bed is a pull out bed which is under the single bed, which was made up for you. It can then either be put in the living area for use during your stay, or just pulled out in the evening and put away in the morning. I am so sorry if you were not aware of this.
For your next stay, we will make sure that it is set up in the living area for you rather before your arrival, or you can select to stay in one of our larger 8 or 10 Sleeper apartments.
