Kamp Schelmhoek in Frieden is the ideal place for guests looking for tranquillity and natural beauty unique to the Karoo. This farm is located in the Moordenaars Karoo region in Laingsburg.

The Bosduif and Mossie tents each have 5 mattresses and guests have access to the shared ablution block fitted with a shower, toilet, and washbasin. This tent stand has a waterpoint only, private parking and a braai area.

The Skilpad caravan sleeps 2 guests and the Kudui, Klipspringer, Erdvark en Meerkatgat campstands are suitable for caravan or tent camping for up to 8 guests. Each campstand has a waterpoint only and a braai area. Guests have access to a shared ablution block fitted with a shower, toilet, and washbasin.

The wild camping area is most suitable for serious off-the-grid campers, as guests can choose a spot anywhere along 4x4 route with rugged terrain, beyond the rest of the camping sites.

There’s a farm dam where guests can cool down on a hot day. Guests can play putt-putt, go hiking, cycling, quad biking or stargazing. There’s also a 4x4 extreme route for guests who like to explore.
