The Blue Room is furnished with 2 single beds that can be placed together, and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, basin, toilet and a shower. This unit is equipped with a small fridge as well as tea-and-coffee-making facilities. You have the use of an outdoor covered braai area, shared with the Melkstal Cottage. There are a few outdoor seating areas available in the garden, with beautiful views down the valley. The Blue Room is in a private space in the large indigenous garden. Birdsong, peace and beauty abound. The garden is a birder's paradise. Jackals howl in the summer evenings, owls serenade you to sleep. There are two dams a short walk away suitable for swimming in and glorious sunsets. This is part of a sheep and fruit farm, between the Outeniqua and the Kammanassie mountain ranges, one of the most diverse biomes in South Africa, with Cape Leopard, aloes, fynbos and succulents. You can book the Melkstal Cottage too.

Melkstal Cottage is hidden in the indigenous garden filled with bird life and song. There is an outdoor covered braai area, shared with The Blue Room. As part of The Langkloof Gallery and Sculpture Garden, Melkstal Cottage can be booked together with The Blue Room, a twin-bedroom with ensuite bathroom; altogether sleeping four persons. There are two dams a short walk away suitable for swimming in. The skies are clear for stargazing, the nights are quiet though you may hear a jackal and an owl or two. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Situated on a fruit and sheep farm, not far off the R62, it is easy to relax here.
