Ledges Retreat is a small country-style guest house set in a peaceful valley in the Northern Drakensberg, with incredible views of the surrounding mountains. Part of the Okhahlamba World Heritage site, the guest house is located near the Royal Natal National Park which is home to the Tugela Falls, the highest waterfall in the world, and the magnificent Amphitheatre.

Accommodation is offered in 3 self-catering cottages; Hillside Cottage, Farmhouse and Riverside Cottage, as well as 4 B&B rooms. The resort as a whole can accommodate 22 people.

Hillside Cottage is a spacious 2-bedroom unit that can accommodate 4 guests and boasts incredible views of the mountains. The sunny Farmhouse, with its beautiful mountain views, accommodates 4 adults with 2 kids and comprises 2 bedrooms. Riverside Cottage sleeps 4 people in 2 bedrooms and offers gorgeous mountain and sunset views! Both the Farmhouse and the Cottages feature 2 bathrooms fitted with either bath or shower facilities, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, and a lounge with a fireplace, and free Wi-Fi. Braai facilities are available on the patio of each of these units. Each unit also has a smart TV.

The 4 B&B rooms can accommodate 2 guests and each has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower and bath. There are 3 bedrooms furnished with a queen-size bed while the fourth bedroom contains 2 single beds. In addition, the rooms offer a bar fridge, kettle, coffee- and tea-making facilities, Wi-Fi access, and a Smart TV. These rooms have access to a separate communal kitchen, braai area, dining area, and lounge for those who wish to cook their own meals.

Ledges Retreat has solar panels for backup power.

Located halfway between Johannesburg and Durban, the resort is the ideal spot for family reunions. Guests can enjoy reconnecting over a braai while the kids play on the expansive lawns, enjoy a swim, or jump on the trampoline.

Other attractions in the area include various fun activities at All Out Adventures, outrides at the Northern Horse Stables, the Forest Retreat Spa at Cavern Resort or spa treatments at Hlalanathi; Tower of Pizza restaurant, a 9-hole golf course, and excellent hiking- and mountain biking trails nearby.
