Description

Leeuwenbosch Shearers Lodge is located in the Amakhala Game Reserve on the N2 between Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) and Makhanda (Grahamstown). Shearer’s offers an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding areas of the Eastern Cape. Addo Elephant National Park lies just 30 kms away; the 1820 Settlers Monument in historical Makhanda (Grahamstown) just a 30 minute drive along the N2 highway, and the Born Free Predator Rehabilitation Centre is 10 minutes from the Leeuwenbosch gate.

Accommodation is offered in 4 contemporary suites, overlooking tranquil gardens from the shade of a wide veranda. Each of the suites can accommodate 2 adults and the special family suite has a sleeper couch used as an extra bed, perfect for a family safari.

Leeuwenbosch Shearers Lodge offers a homely Eastern Cape experience inclusive of dinner and breakfast. Game drives in the Amakhala Game Reserve are bookable at an extra cost. The beautiful beaches of Kenton-on-Sea and Port Alfred are easily accessed for a day on the beach.
