Description

Ashanti House is a wood-panelled, double-storey self-catering with a large front and back garden and private jetty set on the banks of the river in Malagas. Malagas is a settlement on the banks of the Breede River framed by the Potberg Mountain range, 30 km south-east of Swellendam and 280 km or a 2 and a half hour drive from Cape Town.

The house can accommodate up to 11 guests and comprises 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area.

Upstairs, you will find 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The first bedroom contains a double bed. The second bedroom is a family room that contains a double bed, a single bed, and bunk bed. The third bedroom contains a single bed with an additional pull-out single bed underneath. The bathroom contains a bath and a shower, a toilet and a washbasin. All the bedrooms have mosquito nets for those hot summer nights. The rooms also have block-out curtains for those late morning holiday sleep-ins.

Downstairs on the ground floor you will find the main bedroom, a bathroom, and the kitchen, dining and living area. The main bedroom contains a king-size bed. The bathroom contains a bath and a shower, a toilet and a washbasin. The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering with a gas hob, oven, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, ample cupboard space, and plenty of cutlery and crockery to make easy work for cooking or even baking. There is also a utility room that contains a drinks fridge, chest freezer, washing machine and tumble-dryer. The dining area contains a large dining table with seating. The lounge contains seating, a flat-screen TV and a standing fan.

The living area opens to a covered and partially enclosed patio deck which contains a built-in braai, a large dining table and chairs, a couch, and a hammock ideal for those afternoon naps.

There is a large garden area, a private jetty, and plenty of space to do as you please. Enjoy sunbathing, swimming, boating, skiing, tubing, kayaking, fishing, walking, bird watching, mountain biking and trail biking.
