Manoir de Montagne has the feel of French Provençal blended with the Cape Dutch of a truly South African farmstead. Majestically positioned at the foot of the Overberg Mountains, this manor provides spacious self-catering accommodation on large grounds, ideal for families in need of vast open spaces where children can safely have fun while adults enjoy entertainment around the artfully designed pool or undercover braai area. It is situated in Voelklip in Hermanus, just a short drive from Grotto Beach.

This home has a sleeping capacity of 10 adults and 2 children on request and comprises 5 tastefully designed bedrooms, 3 of which are in the main house. The main bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, shower, basin, and toilet. This bedroom has a private balcony with beautiful views of the sea and lagoon in the distance. The second bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, basin, and separate toilet. This room has two small balconies overlooking the garden and pool area, along with views of the ocean. The third bedroom is hugged by bedrooms 1 and 2 and offers a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, basin, and toilet. The fourth bedroom is a fully equipped cottage that is ideal for family add-ons or an au pair and is furnished with a queen-size bed. It has its own bathroom fitted with a shower, basin, and toilet. This room has a kitchenette equipped with a bar fridge, stove, microwave, basic cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. It has a small tv lounge, with a sleeper couch available for 2 children. The fifth bedroom is separate from the main house and furnished with twin beds. This room also has its en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, basin, and toilet. There’s a separate guest toilet in the house. Crisp linen and towels are provided.

A large front patio invites guests through French doors into a euphoric dance with time, where old and new join hands to provide joyful decor fit for lavish moments of rest and relaxation, entertainment, and family togetherness facilitated by the spacious open-plan kitchen, dining, and lounge areas. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, a gas hob and electric oven, a microwave, cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. In addition, this house also spoils with a dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble dryer for guests’ convenience. The lounge has comfortable couches, and a TV with a full selection of DStv channels, and features a cosy wood-fired fireplace.

Guests can either relax on the front patio or in the courtyard area beside the sparkling pool. A separate braai area on the other side of a self-contained cottage completes the picture. Guests can enjoy the private garden, as well as the outdoor seating area for alfresco dining, and the braai facilities. Parking is also available on the premises and the property is secure with an alarm system.

The location offers access to beaches, several restaurants, art galleries, and coffee shops. It is within close proximity to the lagoon and scenic walking and mountain biking trails on the mountain.
