Description
McFab Farmstay is a comfortably furnished self-catering farmhouse for 9 people, 40 km from Frankfort, and is ideal for family reunions and get-togethers, bachelor and bachelorette parties, and cycling groups.
The spacious house comprises 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, a dining room, a scullery, and porches on 2 sides. One of the bedrooms is furnished with a double bed, and a second contains a queen-size bed as well as a single bed.
The third bedroom is furnished with 4 single beds, 2 of which can be converted into a king-size bed. The fourth room contains 2 single beds, which can be converted into a king-size bed. The rooms share the use of 2 bathrooms that are fitted with showers, and toilets, and hot water provided by gas geysers. The house features a French drain.
The open-plan kitchen is equipped with a stove and oven, a fridge, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities. Meals can be enjoyed at the kitchen dining table or dining area, and guests can relax in the lounge, and as the house is equipped with a cell phone amplifier, guests can bring their own laptop and portable Wi-Fi to stream sports or series.
The farmhouse is off the grid, and guests are asked to not use hair dryers or straightening irons. The property is fitted with security beams, a handheld two- way radio, panic buttons, as well as a fixed radio in the lounge that is connected to a reaction team in case of emergency. A daily cleaning service is available and includes the cleaning of the kitchen, bedroom and braai area.
Braai facilities are available on one of the porches, and guests have access to an old klipkraal which has a boma for a bonfire, a vegetable patch, and a big garden. Clearly marked, hiking and cycling routes are available and consist of double tracks, and gravel.
