Midlands Forest Lodge offers 3 different styles of accommodation and is situated on a farm in Balgowan, in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands. The lodge is ideal for guests looking for a comfortable stopover to rest, away from busy city life, or a base from which to explore the surrounding attractions in the Natal Midlands.

Accommodation is offered in the Standard King Room with a Garden View, Family Chalet, and Superior Chalets. There are 8 Standard King Rooms, each comfortably furnished with a king-size bed that can be converted into 2 single beds on request and features an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet, and washbasin. Each room has a sitting area, a desk, hot water bottles, extra blankets, oil-fin heaters, and a quaint wooden balcony with garden views.

The Family Chalets have a private entrance and comprise 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchenette and a living area. Each bedroom is furnished with a double bed and both bathrooms are fitted with a shower, toilet, and washbasin. The Superior Chalets each consist of 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, a kitchenette and a living area. The bedroom is furnished with a double bed and features an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet, and washbasin.

Each chalet features a kitchenette equipped with a bar fridge, a 2-plate stove with a mini convection oven, microwave, basic crockery and cutlery, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities. There’s a lounge area leading out onto a garden-facing patio with a braai facility.

A communal TV lounge adjoining the reception building for guests needing extra entertainment, an honesty bar, and a dining area are available. There’s also secure parking on the premises.
