Beautiful and fabulous.

We had a very nice 2 days at Mon Desir. Service is very good and the owners are very hands-on with their guests. Pity we did not have WiFi at the cottage, as we had an 18-year-old with us, and we all know how they love their phones. However, it was not the end of the world because we were so busy we did not even miss anything.

Quiet, relaxing farm atmosphere.

The hosts, jovial Don and sanguine Berto went out of their way to make things comfortable in spite of the challenges of load shedding - and a huge thunderstorm! We booked the Rhino room, and it did not disappoint: real wooden floors, spacious, with a super view over the Albert Falls dam. Safety is top-notch with windows and doors fitted with Trellidor burglar proofing. We appreciated the pleasant farm atmosphere and the absence of noise and other city-like distractions. It was a relaxing stay and consider it to be good value at the price.

Fantastic, refreshing.

We enjoyed our stay. It was very difficult to leave. We had gone there to unwind and breathe fresh air and that is what we got. Don and Alberto were fantastic hosts, it was like meeting old friends who were very accommodating of our needs. We rocked up there with our teenage son, our 7-year-old daughter, and our little dogs - and Don immediately freely upgraded our room to a cottage to allow us space. We all had a fantastic time - our little dogs made new friends there. My husband went fishing at Albert Falls Dam and caught a big fish. He couldn't wait to show Don and brag. Alberto's meals were home-cooked and delicious. A simple breakfast was like heaven. Well, good things end eventually, but we will definitely go there with the rest of the family that stayed behind.
