Description

Ocean View offers comfortable self-catering accommodation in a private family beach cottage, situated in Pennington. The home is ideally located just a short walk from the beach, and offers sea views.

The house comprises 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and can accommodate 8 adults. Additionally, 4 children under the age of 10 can be accommodated by prior arrangement. The main en-suite bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed. The second bedroom is furnished with 2 single beds, the third bedroom contains a queen-size bed and the fourth bedroom has a queen-size bed and 2 bunk beds for children. There are two extra bathrooms, one with a bath and one with a shower facilities.

The house is simply furnished to cater for the beach and includes a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, an oven and stove, and a microwave, as well as a dishwasher and washing machine for your convenience. The open-plan lounge, dining room and bar open onto a veranda with braai facilities and a view of the ocean. A TV is provided in the lounge, and guests can bring their own DStv decoder and remote for DStv access.

The property is fenced and has an alarm fitted for peace of mind.

Activities in the area include fishing, and there is a ski boat club launch site close by. Enjoy dolphin and whale watching from the house and the opportunity to see the sardine run in the winter months. The beach has unspoilt, indigenous dunes and plenty of rock pools for children to play in and explore at low tide. There is a tidal pool at the main beach and lifeguards on duty at both beaches during the holiday periods.

The area is home to excellent golf courses, including Selborne and Umdoni, both of which have lovely restaurants. The house is located 14 km from Scottburgh and 72 km from Durban.
