Peaceful breakaway very well located.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Olive Tree Cottage and the location was perfect for us as the Hemel-en-Aarde vineyards were all just up the road from us, the mall is closeby (for grocery shopping) and it's located away from Hermanus town centre, so it was nice and quiet. We loved the tranquillity and even had an owl visit us on the roof. It's close to Sandbaai's walking path (also just down the opposite road). The cottage has the basic amenities to get by for a short stay. The weather did not permit us to use the braai, but hopefully next time and we will definitely be back. We would just recommend that an extra blanket perhaps be provided for the colder nights/winter months, especially when sitting in front of the TV, instead of having to use the large duvet. It was nice to be able to watch TV when the inverter kicked in - always a bonus. The wifi was a bit slow and spotty, even when we tried reconnecting, but it wasn't a major issue. Carol was a wonderful host.
