The River Kaya offers stunning self-catering accommodation situated right on the Kromme River, just 12 km from St Francis, one of the top holiday destinations on the beautiful Garden Route. River Kaya is situated next to the beautiful tidal Kromme River, approximately 8 km form the river mouth at St Francis Bay.
River Kaya features 3 separate accommodation options namely, The Fish Eagle self-catering house with room for 9 guests, the Woodpecker Shack with room for 9 guests and the Kiewiet with room for 6 guests. The Fish Eagle is ideal for a bigger group getaways, a special birthday or whatever the occasion you choose to celebrate. The house consists of 5 bedrooms, 2 of which are en-suite. 2 bedrooms are furnished with queen-size beds, 2 bedrooms with double beds and 1 bedroom with a three-quarter bed. There are 2 additional separate bathrooms for the household. A large open plan kitchen, lounge and dining room offers the perfect space for entertaining. Step out onto the 195 m² deck in front of the house overlooking the beautiful Kromme River and enjoy sundowners with friends or family. A covered braai area is also included.
The Woodpeckers Shack is ideal for a father and son weekend or for family getaways. The Woodpeckers Shack consists of 4 bedrooms. Two bedrooms are furnished with a double or queen bed and the other two with bunk beds. The bathroom facilities include only showers. There is an open plan braai and lounge area as well.
The Kiewiet consists of 3 bedrooms with an open plan kitchen and lounge area. All three bedrooms are furnished with queen beds and en-suite with showers only.
A Function Venue is available next to the river for up to 80 people by prior arrangement. The area is opportune for several activities including, fishing, kayaking for groups of up to twelve people, hiking, mountain biking, relaxing and bird watching.
