We are very sorry to hear about your experience. Please kindly note that your stay was booked during the rainy season, and there are occasional occurrences where rain spiders will appear. We are situated on a farm with 13 different-sized gardens, therefore you will be exposed to the early hours of birds chirping, various butterflies and occasionally some spiders.
You tried to make contact at 2am regarding the rain spider in your room, our staff is not available at this time of the night and we can hardly classify it as an emergency call. Furthermore, you threw the keys to the room and remote for the main gate next to the public road, severely compromising the security of the whole compound. Not happy with the stay. We slept there for 2 nights and would rather try other places in the area.
The Lodge sits in a nice place, but does not take the guests into account in terms of being far out of town. The bar, which has to sell soft drinks and even water, is constantly 'out of stock' and there are breakfast menus placed by our bed. We wanted to order and had to find out in the morning that they don't do that either. Had to drive into town again. 2 to 5 km out of town is okay to ride, but not 15 kilos all the time. Water problems the last morning and just not a place I would recommend. We also didn't receive an awful lot of information about the place upon arrival. Don't know if there was wifi available and mostly just went to sleep there, because there was nothing for us to do at the Lodge itself.

Terribly cute place with lots of potential! The room was very neat and modern with everything you could possibly need. Bedding was neat and clean and bed slept like a dream. Just a shame that other guests made our stay less enjoyable with their loud music and hanging out at the pool even though it's against the rules of the lodge. There was also very little drink and no ice available. Furthermore, it is a place that I would gladly recommend.
